Official - Hatton v Mayweather! who you got???

One thing Ricky does have that is very underrated is his footwork and head movement. He showcased it perfectly during the first 6 rounds against Urango. The problem is that he usually abandons his boxing style 2 rounds into the fight, prefering to smother and make the fight physical, and often times boring. Hatton's a good guy though and I wish him the best. I think he gets hated on a little too much but his style isn't exactly crowd pleasing. I hope Floyd like shugging British guys, because I expect him to hug the piss out of Floyd.

ricky hatton is boring no body i know likes hatton fights all he does is grab and smother opponents. i don't understand how that excites people. through all that smothering you bareley see clean punches land. you can sometimes see body shots land and theres other times when you can't really tell whats goimg on

wright is not a boring fighter spinks sometimes is a boring fighter but that is only against bigger or stronger fighters and hopkins is definitely boring

All Mayweather has to do is show up and he'll win a unanimous decision. If he really wanted to embarass Ricky he could try to stop him on cuts by TKO, because Hatton is prone to nasty eye cuts. Floyd doesn't have the power to open him up though.

How many ppv's do you reckon this fight will sell? It should be massive given who's fighting and that they're both undefeated.

As much as I'd love to see Gayweather get KTFO'd, something tells me its gonna be a UD his way again.

Floyd- TKO either by an accumlation of punches or on cuts. I just can't see this fight going the distance!! Floyd has a lot to prove after his last 2 performances so i think Floyd is going to sit down on his punches & try to meet hatton in the center of the ring "fighting in the pocket"!! (where he is most effective offensively IMO) Regardless let's just hope for a good fight!!!

I think Hatton is going to take a 12 round beating. Floyd is so fast and has such great defense. I don't think Hatton can catch him and when he gets in close he'll be hit with lightning fast combos.

I think with Floyds elusiveness Hatton wont hardly be able to clinch when he's tired because he wont be able to get hold of him. As everybody knows Floyd is always better in the second half of the fight. Floyd wins a UD.

yeah it is definately Mayweather/Hatton.... in classic howard lederman voice "FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR." to smart, to fast, to quick, to savvy, and has more power than people give him credit for...to me honestly, Ricky Hatton is the jr welterweight john ruiz wiht all that damn clinching....he clinches then hits with liver shots on the break...that equals NO SKILLS....Floyd will block those all day...i don't even think hatton gets close enough to clinch....yes I am a Hatton hater because he has never impressed me EVER

NOpe Hatton can't jab jab jab, and thats why he will lose. I'm not saying you should box mayweather, I'm saying you have to come in, or back him up jabbing, otherwise you'll get potshotted all night. Obviously Hatton shouldn't jab jab jab, he can't, and thats why he will lose the fight. You don't automatically lose by not jabbing with Mayweather, especially if you don't have the reach to match him. Floyd's number one talent is his ability at countering. The key to beating him is to overcome that skill by throwing too many punches for him to counter.
