Both the Baldomir and Gatti fight did better than Cotto Judah.
Maybe, but according to him if it makes dollars it makes sense right? I bet a fight against Cotto would sell more than that against Baldi and Gatti did. Now the p4p fighter is willing to come out of retirement to face a Jr WW?
How is Hatton at 140 gonna fight Oscar who is at 154? Lmflyao.
it think oscar is working hard to land Hatton on gbp and this was thrown out there as an enticement.Looks like he had Barrera working on him from seeing the two of them walk down to the ring Saturday. its pretty obvious Oscar will never fight under 154, maybe he could fight at a catch weight of 150 but I dont know if that would be possible. funny how oscr mentioned Tito, floyd mentioned tito, oscar mentioned Hatton floyds now ready to fight him.
of course Floyd is quiet about Cotto, because you fail to realize that boxing fights are about money and ppv buys. Cotto vs. Mayweather is great for hardcore boxing fans and journalists, but it won't do garbage on ppv and isnt a big money making fight for Floyd. Hatton vs. Mayweather is huge, as Hatton has an entire country behind him and has a more impressive resume than Cotto anyway (IMO). When you're the best, everyone wants a piece of you, unfortunately you can only fight one person at a time, so there will always be people saying this about someone.
So Carlos Baldomir, Mitchell, a shot Gatti, Bruseles, .... where big PPV fights?
I will now use my crystal ball to predict next weeks hot breaking news on this supposed superfight, it will be : Mayweather offers Hatton Superfight but dictates a 70/30 split and Hattons first born!, or Hatton only wants fight at 140, will fight only in the UK!
If this fight comes off I will be surprised.
C'mon man...how many fights can Floyd fight in a year...he can't fight everybody...and Cotto's name is somewhat new to the casual boxing fan...how many times has Cotto fought on HBO?...how often does HBO hype up Hatton? <---- A heck of alot .... they're looking for the next white hope... bottom line....hate to say it though.
oscar should steal hatton from floyd.. and make him fight mosely or cotto
TRUE BUT COTTO JUDAH WAS 1 MILLION BUYS ... COTTO GETS ON YOU FAST I DONT THINK MAYWEATHER CAN HANDLE THE PRESSURE AND POWER.. I DONT THEINK FLOYD WILL EVER FIGHT COTTO

I agree with everything you stated except for the last paragraph. Mayweather does not duck good opponents. I think he just chooses the fights that will make him the most money. Plain and simple.
I think your points about Arum were dead on. I was just going to say that.
I wasn't implying that the fact that Hatton would be an "easier" fight for Floyd is the REAL reason why, I was just saying that's like icing on the cake. More money and and easier fight...not easier fight with more money involved. It's just a bit of a bonus for him, not the motivation or catalyst for fighting.
cotto is a real man and he will fight margarito next. mayweather wont face any real fighters.
this is some silly shit right here. cotto is a real man so he gone fight margarito? dumb ass shit. i swear. mayweather wont fight any real fighters? i like cotto. he on a come up but mayweather has far passed cotto, so please, get off both they sacks dupe. hating on mayweather is not gone get you that ass so please, just be objective
thanks
All Of Suddden He Wants Hatton But Is Quiet As A Damn Mouse About Cotto Who Beat Down Judah.. Hes A Fuckin Joke
How is he a fucking Joke? Hatton is the way bringing Floyd's name up left and right I don't hear anything from Cotto. Your a fucking a joke for making this retarded thread.
Cotto has never called Mayweather out. How many times must this be said before people say Mayweather is ducking him? Hatton talks shit about Mayweather every 3 hours, so of course Mayweather is going to respond to him.

I also agree with beauty. As much as Cotto is a more formidable threat to Mayweather than Hatton is (unless Hatton somehow got the fight at 140), his INTERNATIONAL profile isn't on par with Hatton's. Cotto-PBF at MSG would be huge, but it would not quite match Hatton-PBF at MSG or especially in Manchester (which can't happen, but I digress...)
Hatton could not only bring 10k+ fans, but don't forget about the lucrative European TV element to a Hatton-Mayweather fight. There's more millions for PBF to salivate over. Also, Cotto of course is Top Rank and apparently PBF has the same kind of distaste for Arum and co. as De La Hoya does. Fighting Cotto really helps Arum and of course, if he were to lose, it would add the ultimate insult to injury for Mayweather.
So there's a big different money wise because of Hatton's legions of fans and the Euro TV element...
...but of course there's also the aspect of Hatton being eminently more beatable than Cotto.
