This was a very confident, blatant and aggressive call out of Deontay Wilder! If he doesn't take on Tyson Fury he may very well have doubt about avoiding being schooled by the crafty boxing jigsaw puzzle and king of the heavyweights Gypsy King Tyson Fury! Will Deontay step up to the ultimate mega challenge and fight the best British heavyweight (bellew shakes at the thought of fighting him) in the world and lineal kingpin???

It is hard being an overhyped HBO creation. To be spoon fed soft opposition in order to be hyped up as a guy with a KO steak (even if it was manufactured). Somewhere along the line you will have to actually fight a real fighter. Golovkin is probably having a hard time sleeping. Paralyzing fear must be gripping at him. He knows he might get a savage beating to the body and sit on the ropes like his fellow country man kovalev. kazakstan russia same stuff. they are both just a couple of brainless face first brawlers. Grovelkin knows his day of reckoning is fast approaching. Will this face first brawler be KO'd pacman style or look like a confused idiot sitting on the ropes because his body gave out? We don't know. We just know he is going to get completely massacred by super mega ultra star canelo. How can he properly focus on training when he knows he is the sheep about to get taken to slaughter? Lets just hope this guy doesn't pull out with an "injury".

The 147 pound king and greatest fighter of the WW division Errol Spence was ambitious. He bit off more than people thought he could chew when he fought Kell Brook. Brook was widely regarded as the biggest and strongest WW in the division. With a titanium plate in Brooks surgically repaired right eye socket, we knew Brook's right eye was pretty much unbreakable going into the fight with the Truth. It turned out he would be beaten so bad that his left eye socket would get smashed into oblivion. Spence beat Brook from pillar to post in the second half of the fight and established his dominance over the most experienced and well rounded fighter in the WW division. In doing so he showed he is the king of the welterweight division. Brook had no choice but to bend the knee to King Spence and quit. Now ol Run Time Keith Thurman has purposely gotten surgery on his elbow to prolong a Spence fight until next year. I get the feeling he will be running like he was from a JWW Danny Garcia in his last fight. Ultimately though, he will have to find courage and man up. When he finally fights Spence he will realize there is a reason all the pundits say Spence is the future of the sport even though Thurman has accomplished slightly more (and took way longer to do so). We all know Spence is the superior fighter and will easily win the battle. My question is, will Spence make Thurman quit when he realizes there is nowhere to run and the punches are raining down on him? Will King Spence make Thurman bend the knee!!!?

Nacho has brought something out in Jr. It was just a weight drain that happened in the Canelo fight. I don't know if Jr banged four women or not to get his watch stolen, but I know he trained like a mad man for Canelo. In the end, Canelo won the fight at the negotiation table and simply went through the motions in the ring with a weight drained zombie. Chavez Jr will bounce back from this. He needs it. What better way to do it then to beat up staredown king David Lemieux. If they fight at 168 Chavez Jr will absolutely destroy this limited puncher. His skill set will be on full display and he won't be drained.

I've never seen such blatant avoidance of other top fighters by a "top guy". Outside of a heavily flawed Lemieux, team Grovelkin has been extremely selective of his opposition. He has repeatedly refused to fight opponents that can actually skillfully box him, like Erislandy Lara. He instead faced a "slick fighter" when he took on C level green Willie Monroe Jr. He has balked at 10 million to fight boxings biggest star Canelo in a mega fight. His team made unreasonable financial demands and will fail to make the Jacobs fight. But they will fight a WW in Kell Brook, they fight D Wade on house arrest. Complete mismatches simply made to run up the manufactured KO streak. They will fight an overhyped flawed bum in Eubank Jr. I can't think of a more pathetic string of opponents by an alleged "top guy" than what Triple G gave us this year. All the while, his team has scampered away from Lara with their tail tucked between their legs, shamelessy lowballed Jacobs and have turned away an 8 figure payday to face the star of the sport. When you compare him to the other p4p fighters, his lack of courage is quickly evident. Ward is facing Kovalev, Garcia is facing Thurman, Lomachencko is fighting Walters. You are seeing the best start to fight each other. Count Golovkin out though. He is making "business" decisions.

Ever since people have been talking about the potential Canelo-GGG fight it seems GGG's profile has skyrocketed. This is a guy who a couple fights ago couldn't sell a 100k on PPV. The buzz for this fight is growing and Triple G is actually being featured frequently on sites like yahoo more now. The fight is starting to grow into a spectacle the way Mayweather-Pacquiao did. Obviously a Canelo-Golovkin scrap would contain much more action. At this rate the fight might actually do big business despite GGG's paltry stock just a couple fights ago. Now GGG gets the opportunity to KO a WW on HBO and in the UK market. No doubt some new people will tune in to see who this Golovkin guy is next saturday. If he can dispose of the WW as easily as Canelo disposed of Khan, casuals will be impressed. This could be HBO's biggest ratings to date this year. Brook isn't a known commodity and has never been featured on HBO. This would be due to the growing frenzy for Canelo-GGG. Building up to that showdown has done more for Gennad than any can he's crushed. Obviously grovelkin was just balking at 2 million for a Canelo fight the other day. So it remains to be seen if the untested puncher will be able to summon the courage to take on the proven boxing mega star in 2017.

Kell Brook's resume at times has been questioned due to lack of big name opposition. The Shawn Porter win was an A+ win, especially considering he went on to rough up the supposed next big thing in Keith Thurman. Some would say that fight showed Brook is the class of the division. Brook's shots kept Porter at bay, but Porter walked through flush Thurman shots. Brook's win over Porter was clear, Thurman escaped with a controversial Al Haymon decision. Now Brook moves up two full weight classes to take on undefeated unified MW champion boogeyman Golovkin. Where will you place Kell when he outslicks GGG? When he eats the shots of Gennad and keeps coming? When he takes not only takes that funny english speaking guy to town and shows him a superior form of speaking in a comically unpleasant way? I'd say this puts him right behind Ward in the #2 spot P4P.

Haven't heard much out of Keith Thurman lately. I remember a couple years ago he seemed eager to fight Shawn Porter. Now suddenly the fight is right in front of him for the taking and it seems like he might not be ready for a fight of this magnitude. Are we gonna get a big fight or is it gonna be duck time?

Anybody know how many buys the PPV buys this fight generated? I heard 900k from an unreliable source and didn't find anything else

With pacman coming off shoulder surgery, taking on a peaking p4p threat like Crawford almost seems like a recipe for taking a sure L. TC is by far the best fighter at 140 and fighting at welterweight wouldn't be a huge disadvantage against the smaller pacman. Crawford naturally is probably the larger man anyways despite campaigning at a full weight class below. His chin has been durable outside of a few shaky moments with Gamboa. It would be shocking if pacman could turn the clock back and stop a prime time threat like crawford (Pac hasn't scored a stoppage since 2009). Pac carries in a big advantage with experience, but TC has one of the most diverse skill sets in the game and knows how to win exchanges. From where I'm sitting the upset would be if Pacman could actually knock off the undefeated future star of Top Rank.

Lately Golovkin has become picking and choosing opponents instead of taking on all comers. First he had a chance to move up to 168 and face a rusty Andre Ward but instead ferociously chased pot headed Chavez Jr and shot battle worn Carl Froch 168 lb fights instead. Both stars Chavez Jr and Froch passed on fights with the obscure Golovkin. Still, big name option Andre Ward was ready and willing to mix it up. GGG clearly didn't want this fight and came up with an excuse of needing a 164 lb catchweight. He knew Ward had gotten heavy from inactivity and that it was not humanly possible for him to make a weight 4 pounds lower than his division. This was the first time Triple G's cowardice surfaced. He ran away from the 168 kingpin with his tail between his legs and decided to stay at 160. He says he fights in a mexican style. Boxings super mega star Canelo Alvarez is the ultimate mexican fighter with a mexican style. Clearly Golovkin would want a shot at boxings star attraction right? Wrong. Even though Canelo is an incredibly huge attraction, he would also be much better than anyone GGG has fought and could possibly knock Genadavich out. I believe GGG may very well fear for his health and fear the karma of ripping off the moniker mexican style. He knows fighting a real mexican would expose that he is an udder european fraud. He immediately began making excuses "no catchweight". He saw fighting Canelo would result in a sure loss and went to see Rhonda Rousey. "How have you been able to avoid a fighter your terrified of? I'm terrified of Canelo the way you are of Cyborg. Please tell me". So clearly Golovkin will do whatever it takes to get out of the Alvarez fight. Rousey coached him up. So who does GGG fear the most?

Floyd Mayweather proved he could get the job done against an excuse minded Pacman the last time out. Obviously you can't blame Pac for trying to position himself for a rematch with an injury excuse to roll in the dough again. But thats not until next year and Floyd will just beat him again anyway. So I ask what is the biggest challenge for Mayweather at welterweight? GGG can't make that weight so he's out. Khan stylistically present one heck of a challenge. But people will say he didn't truly have a full camp and had to squeeze it in after ramadan. Besides that, the Mayweather that came out and took the fight to Pacman in the first 2 rounds probably puts Khan to the canvas. So I'm looking at Keith Thurman. The guy is big, underratedly well rounded and a boxer/puncher. He has the size and knows how to use it. He is in his physical prime and just pulled off a win against Guerrero (who beats most of the top WWs right now including Khan). Him and Brook both look excellent but Thurman's leg is not suspect from taking a machete to it. Disagree? Who is a bigger challenge?

mayweather will be fighting danny garcia for his 5th fight of his showtime contract. you heard it here first!

keith thurman says he has an 0 and isn't afraid to let it go but what we see is another haymon fighter being carefully moved along and protected by fighting soft opposition. diego chaves was a risky fight but outside of that he really hasn't faced anyone. people think he is being ducked but the fact is he is just another haymon guy that is getting easy fights. haymon is just going to keep feeding him stiffs for as long as he can get away with it. thurman's career has been going in a backwards direction since the soto karass fight. thurman can make money fighting the bundu's and get network time doing it. the riskiest fight i could see him getting is a devon alexander. i don't see him throwing down with the guerrero, d garcia, brook or porter in 2015

Boxing has 2 weak champions at MW right now. Cotto and Lee. Taylor mops the floor with these guys. And Taylor already said he would never lose to a white boy again. I'll take his word for it. That means he beats GGG. There you have it. He might become undisputed middleweight champion. Imagine that moment. Taylor standing defiantly over GGG's unconcious body after running through all the champions. Solidifying himself as the ATG middleweight

khan's blazing hand speed, combination punching and workrate have him ducking amir like the plague. he's mayweather's worst nightmare. khan easily decisions mayweather. lets face it floyd has no shot. his only chance would be a KO as Khan's superior workrate would blitz him out of the ring. he'd look old. his feather fists would prove his undoing. pretty much any real student of the sport sees it this way. floyd knows it himself. that's why he is thinking about cashing out with pacman to avoid khan. amir is the last man he ever wants to see on the opposite side of the ring because we all know its a sure loss

Lets face it GGG will have no hope of knocking out the gargantuous Mexican monster Chavez when he has to move up 8 pounds. Chavez will be the much larger man, who has already felt what GGG dishes out in sparring. This is somewhat of a nightmare match up for GGG as he will be in with an opponent who can eat his heavy artillery like candy. He is still the more skillful fighter but will have to keep the legendary chinned chavez at bay over 12 rounds. Martinez was barely able to hold off this sensational locomotive , coming within an inch of losing his life in round 12 and suffering long term effects that have turned him into a mere shell of his former self. GGG's chin and stamina will be tested like never before against a rival the likes of which he has never seen before. :sombrero:

Shaefer basically squashed the rumor of Thurman-Matthysse on the undercard instead deciding to try and showcase them in separate fights the week before on April 26th. He also decided to cackblock Broner-Khan from going at each other by quickly throwing water on the twitter war flames and saying their careers are going in different directions at the moment and that the timing wasn't right. So it looks like Shaefer is going to shove little Abner Mares down our throats again, even though he just got KTFO in the first round last fight and doesn't have that shiny undefeated record. We are also getting fed Mayweather Promotions bum J'Leon Love, even though he got beat down by Rosado the last time he was on PPV. Looks like Shaefer thinks Khan-Collazo is a solid enough co-main event to sell this PPV. Thats the card we are getting. Will Mayweather-Madonna do a million buys?

lets face it fraud gayweather is a self serving cunt. he clearly plays a bunch of games ruining people lives. he made khan wait a year promising him a fight then screwed him over. he took maidana selfishly for his ppv date even though broner had a rematch clause. he ducks guys like matthysse and thurman like an utter coward. he avoids pacman because "pacman needs the money more". truly cowardly reasoning. the real reason is because pacman would beat the living hell out of him and make his face look like a f'd up spoiled tomato. everyone knows he would lose to pacman. even mike tyson said so. gayweather takes all the ppv money and picks easy opposition to the point where golden boy will lose money on his ppv's and their young talent will be angry for getting jerked around and lied to. boner gets screwed out of his rematch just so gayfeather can get what he wants. richard shaefer is going to suffer the long term consequences of this partnership when floyd retires and all his young talent scrambles to top rank because he lets floyd do whatever he wants. pretty stupid. mayweather might as well own gbp
