Nacho has brought something out in Jr. It was just a weight drain that happened in the Canelo fight. I don't know if Jr banged four women or not to get his watch stolen, but I know he trained like a mad man for Canelo. In the end, Canelo won the fight at the negotiation table and simply went through the motions in the ring with a weight drained zombie. Chavez Jr will bounce back from this. He needs it. What better way to do it then to beat up staredown king David Lemieux. If they fight at 168 Chavez Jr will absolutely destroy this limited puncher. His skill set will be on full display and he won't be drained.
Do you realize Chavez Jr arguably lost to marcos Reyes at 170 lbs after not making weight?
Ya the same Marcos Reyes that Lemiuex almost killed.
Match ups. Big jr couldn't hunt down Reyes and Lemiuex could. David is the more capable KO threat against smaller opponents. He will be the smaller guy here though. Chavez Jr will suprise you against this unskilled athletic android 16 mf
Yes, and at 168 Lemieux would almost certainly hit harder, have more energy (I don't think he makes 160 easily) and, more importantly, Lemieux comes to fight.
Lemieux struggles to make 160. Chavez can take a punch but Lemieux is a better boxer. And that's saying a lot about Chavez's skill level, not in a good way. I like Chavez but his career is a mess.
I agree Chavez may be B level but so is Lemieux. Give Chavez & Nacho a full camp together and they will produce adequate results. Canelo hit Chavez with some bombs in there. He hit Jr with the shot that split Kirklands wig and stayed in there. Lemieux cracks a little harder but at 168 Chavez won't be drained and with a full camp you will see his technique improve under Nacho. If he takes this fight soon he will return to form and take out this limited puncher Lemieux and get right back in the mix.
I would be down to see it. And yes Lemieux is a B level fighter. I think Chavez should take a tuneup before taking Lemieux. 2 beating in a row and a huge puncher like Lemieux could be bad.
Im not saying he wasnt drained. But what exactly in that fight made u think that hes better under Nacho? And btw, Chavez s*cks... He is a star cause of his father, thats it, thats all... He lost vs Vera ffs. No shame in being a B level fighter but seems like u overrate the guy a little too much...
As for him vs Lemieux, he might be able to win. Lemieux aint great but I would like to see him take those punches for 12 rounds without quitting. I dont know. For me its a tossup fight

Chavez Jr. is hands down the worst boxer that has ever lived.
He's been boxing since his youth and has absolutely done nothing ever since in terms of growth.
In fact he regressed, I think.
This guy literally can't punch.
How can you go through so many years of boxing and not learn how to punch?
He either doesn't throw any due to emotional instability and confidence issues.
OR
when he throws them-- his technique, the space and leverage and positioning he puts himself make a punch soft.
He literally discovered how to reverse the power of a punch in almost every situation. It's insane. He's the very opposite of a boxer (and the things they try to achieve).
Boxing is a perishable skill if not properly maintained a guy will get worse. It is the old saying if a guy isn't getting better he is getting worse there is no staying the same.
Chavez Jr. certainly was not putting in the hard work to constantly improve and pretty much did the opposite which will cause whatever talent he had to deteriorate even more.
Look he was just drained against Canelo. Its simple science. The fight at 164 was always going to result in a weight drained Jr. Chavez is a star fighter. Lemieux is just a neanderthal that will shoot his load early. Chavez can absorb that attack at 168 and will be able to use his size advantage to take out Lemieux in the second half of the fight just like Grovelkin did.

Honestly, it would be one of those situations where the guy that lands first would end up getting the KO. Chances are that would be Lemieux. Chavez is a slacker but quite a few years ago he could hurt people especially to the body. Then he ran into Martinez and reality set in. I don't see him reverting back to those days but I'm not sold Lemieux either. Lemieux is a devastating puncher but once you get past that he's pretty basic.
This doesn't hold, Nacho said he was eating fine and looked healthy. Look at him during the fight he looked healthy and vital, none of the usual tell tale signs of draining, weary eyes, gaunt face....Canelo did a number on him in the first round and after that he just became hopeless. What bugs me is that he didn't try....he just didn't try.
He did look terrible at the weigh in. Jr did let Canelo take the play away early and faded late. He just didn't have it that night stamina wise. Since he trained his ass off, it was the weight drain.

Chavez is not a game fighter. He quit against Fonfara when a game fighter would have continued. No way in hell could he compete with Canelo but he sure could have tried harder than he did. He went into survival mode. He was afraid to throw many punches because Canelo would hit him even more then. Chavez just isn't a very good fighter. Lemieux has much more speed and ability. He hit harder than Chavez and has ten times the heart and fighting spirit of Chavez. Lemieux would knock Chavez out in my opinion.

chavez jr should hire moe sizlack as his corner man
their more suited than nacho and chavez
Moe was a good trainer he got Homer a heavyweight title shot and Homer couldn't punch at all.
What did Nacho bring out of Chavez exactly? What did u see to make u think that? I didn't see nothing . Please explain...

:alcoholic That is some good stuff you must be drinking. Using Chavez Jr. and the words destroying someone has to be some kind of oxymoron.
