Toney is as close to throwback as you can get and Holyfield
couldn't even beaat him
I mean he was in his 40’s. Once boxers hit 40 they’re vulnerable to get an ass beating by any boxer.
Nothing, but Americans think old timers that were mostly just domestic fighters (boxing wasn’t as international as it is now) are the greatest thing.
He was a slow footed heavy handed puncher. Overrated because Ali beat him. That’s the only reason.
He’s top 20 ATG because of his demographic and because he fought back in the day when the “real killers” ruled boxing.
He's the best super middleweight in a talentless super middleweight division.
Ward would have destroyed him.
Benavidez may still yet.
David Morrell? Canelo needs to stay the hell away from that guy.
You have Canelos cokkk all in your mouth with your 8 replies on this 2 page thread boy LMAO.
So when is your boy Bud the phag going to do something other than fight bums?
Grab a dictionary and look up the word fraudulent.
Canelo beat Kovalev fair and square….]with a knock out.
I honestly don’t think you know what the word fraudulent means. Go finish your HS degree.
Would you all be impressed if I smashed the shit out of a 155lb man….myself being a 175lb man?? Would that impress you all? No, that’s why Bivol, great win, but he won because a middleweight came into HIS weight class.
I think he's too small only because he doesn't have the length to compete with the truly elite at that class. But he's closer to being a LHW, than your hyperbole about him being 155 pounds. He's just short. Weight wise he's not small whatsoever.
The 155 was a hypothetical story about me you fucking idiots LOL
No shiiit. Canelo is a middleweight.
Bivol won because he’s way taller, longer reach, a light heavyweight….Canelo is NOT.
Bivol won because he’s bigger, in every way, his dimensions and weight were too much for Canelo to overcome.
I feel like this is lazy though, because Bivol and Kovalev are the same size. Canelo DID NOT lose because Bivol was bigger, he was soundly outboxed by an opponent who happened to be bigger.
Yea and GGG trashed Kell Brook because he’s much more of an amazing boxer….not because he’s bigger, taller, heavier, and stronger than Brook.
Same thing
The loss is on Reynoso, putting him in there. A 5’7” middleweight, scrapping with a damn light heavyweight.
Canelo has no business being in there with a light heavyweight….yet there he is trying anyway…love the guy.
Canelo was just too small, no power, no weight. Like a freshman in high school fighting against a senior.
Oh **** off. He does not “tower” over Canelo :lol1: you fan boys are pathetic.
and Canelo isn’t a middleweight. He can’t make middleweight. You might as well still call him a baby super welterweight.
look at the face off….Bivol towers over him, outweighs him, has longer dimensions. His head is way bigger than Canelo. They clearly don’t belong in the same ring…but Canelo had ambitions that didn’t pan out.
So you’re impressed Bivol beat a smaller man, a blown up career middleweight?
fukkk off phag
Bivol won because he towers over Canelo, is a light heavyweight and Canelo is NOT.
That’s why he won. Not because he’s a master boxer, or more skilled than Canelo. If Canelo was a natural light heavyweight, I would bet good money Canelo would smoke this guy and toss him around the ring. But Canelo is a middleweight.
It just isn’t Canelo’s weight class, end of story.
So why did Callum Smith, Kovalev, BJS, Fielding, Jacobs, Yildirm all lose? Bivol was shorter than all of them lmao and walked into the ring at 183.
Easy…:because Canelo is special and was beating bigger guys….but he’s not Superman.
So you’re impressed with Bivol. Would you be impressed if I beat the shiiit out of a 155lb man, myself being a 175lb man? Is that impressive? No right?
Bivol is a bigger dude, a light heavyweight that beat a blown up middleweight last night. But your ass is impressed by this for some reason
He didn’t. Bivol had a jab flurry in a few but did nothing else. It was the later rounds when Canelo began losing confidence that he started winning rounds against Canelo.
Canelo doesn’t need it, the L happened in a weight class that’s not his, way above his natural weight. It was a legacy fight that wasn’t to be.
like Kell Brook losing to GGG.
They were within 1-2 pounds of each other.
You’re missing the point, clearly Canelo is the smaller man. He can get to the weight, while Bivol can cut to it, but their walk around weights are obviously from two different weight classes.
Or is Canelo a natural light heavyweight now???
Garbage fight.
Sick of these motherfukers thinking they can get away with this. You want a Canelo fight and you’re lining up with this washed up one punch robot???
Why does Benavidez get a pass if this fight goes through?
But Canelo fights I don’t even know how many champions in his last 10 fights and everyone gives him shit.
Fuk this fight.
I’m a Roy fan. People fall in love with the flashy stuff he did against the more bum like fighters. I know I did. It was fun to watch.
Having said that, historically most will probably always rate him #1 at 168, mostly because of that flashy athletic stuff, but he’ll get passed in accomplishments. I think when Canelo retires, he’ll be almost twice as decorated and accomplished and I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Canelo at 175 or heavier.
With Canelo, I feel like he’s such a living legend that it wouldn’t surprise me if he did some crazy living legend type shit… like fight at Cruiserweight or something like become unisputed at 175.
no beterbiev then...
You wouldn’t have given him credit for that win anyway.
You’re here to diminish his accomplishments and tear him down in every thread.
I’ve been here a week and objectively, this what I can conclude from all of your posts, serious bias, just from observing for a week. I would say you’re a top one to top 3 anti Canelo poster.
One of the best in the world. Bud is the truth.
Top 10, top 5 p4p, but I wouldn’t want to be his promoter. I wouldn’t want him, or Lara or Rigondeux or Ward.
Great fighters, but you would lose money or have to put serious hustle just to break even promoting the fukers.
The mystique just grows as most fans realize a prime Canelo's controversial MD decision over a 36 year old Golovkin remains as Alvarez' best win.
The second fight and win wasn’t controversial. Quit lying.
The mystique was still there after the first fight.
Once Canelo clearly won the second fight it was game over for GGG and his mystique.
Then GGG killed what remained of his career by robbing Dery and fighting bum after bum.
oh and the only people that try and say GGG won’t both fights are Canelo haters. It’s a lie, like people that try and repeat and repeat Pacquio beat Mayweather hoping that if it’s spread enough times people will begin calling the decision controversial.
Brian Stelter for sure.
Don Lemon
Stephen Colbert
Ethan Klein (youtube celebrity)
Leonard Ellerbe
I know I'd beat the shi.t out of each and every single one of them.
Ellerbies nose would destroy you bro.
