Bradley vs Marquez was a lot closer than what hbo was letting on. I've watched it several times since Marquez definitely figured some stuff out later on in that fight and was getting the better of Bradley. He definitely landed the more meaningful power punches and I feel like the broadcast team was ignoring Marquez work to the body. If you guys have free time I would advise you to go back and watch the fight. Diaz even told Bradley late in the fight that it was real close.
I definitely wouldn't mind a rematch because something big will happen I don't think Marquez will depend on the judges. But I think that Manny gets this fight next.
Both guys initiated holding Ward moreso than Rodriquez. But if you see a guy trying to tie you up you can push him off you or turn him and push you off him.
As the for the quality of the fight. I enjoyed the fight it was really physical and both guys really did not like each other in there. The fight was pretty entertaining Ward was landing that stabbing jab landed a couple of lethal hooks. And Rodriquez did decent in spots would've been interesting to see him go to the body more I felt Ward feeling a few of those body shots later on in the fight.
And if all else fails simply don't watch. I wouldn't continue eating bad food if I felt it tasted like a pile of ****.
I think Broner wins this by decision. Alexander I consider a harder puncher couldn't get him outta there. If Broner can stop him that would be a big statement.
Bradley but if he gets hurt Marquez will methodically break him down and close the fight.
I'd lean toward Bradley I don't think he'd leave himself in some of the compromising positions that Pacquiao did. I think Bradley's last fight was an aberration, he has too much respect for Marquez to fight that carelessly. At this point I think Marquez obviously has more wear and tear and I feel that Bradley can take it up another notch if need be.
Didnt score it but I'd find it very hard to give Marquez more than 4 rounds. I don't know how you score it for Marquez he was pretty much out of range the whole fight. And Bradley dictated the fight and was more of the aggressor fighting backwards.
I don't think people understand what overrated is. He's a top 5 middleweight. The third spot is debatable but putting him there isn't overrating him.
He definitely did look more vulnerable than in any of his previous fights. He needs to improve his stamina is lacking. And he looked really uncomfortable on the inside.
Good list and good mentions by others in here. But what about Donaire? He's still pretty good puncher in his own right. Even rocked Walters who was bigger than him before he got stopped.
He should retire. Being out of the ring almost 2 years at this stage in his career is a recipe for disaster. Especially if his knee is really this problematic.
There's been a lot of talking between the two. Bradley makes it seem as though he learned nothing from Diaz which is a dig. Probably because Diaz is really outspoken about what happened he feels betrayed. Seemed like Bradley wanted to part ways and not get into a war of words with Diaz. So he has just dropped subtle shots at Diaz. Whereas Diaz is being very specific about what happened.
This is good love to see fighters more active gives you an advantage too. Only way I could understand fighting less than two times a year is if you suffer an injury. Or you get into a war that takes a toll on you.
Maidana has a lot of options but this aside from Mayweather might be the most money he can get. Whatever he decides is good for him though. I think he's a stand up guy and wouldn't mind giving Broner his rematch.
As for Broner hopefully he's learned from the fight and looking to make adjustments to win. If this is just a pride thing and he doesn't humble himself and prepare properly for this fight it will be another long grueling painful loss.
Who is going to pay for the purse Floyd will want , Rath and Spoon after borrowing it from papa .
Nobody will buy it because nobody but Manny fanboys believe Manny has a chance , if I were Floyd I would say sure thing Manny only your purse will be 2mill because thats all youre worth , see if Manny fights for the people then lol .
I would not pay to see Floyd beat the fake again .
I disagree people will still pay to see it. It did $4 million and change. A rematch a year later after people erase the first fight from their memory will still do about half.
Well I'm guessing in the 300k range a little bit over that. Golovkin still isn't known by the general public as much. Plus he's fighting Lemieux who I'm certain none of the casuals know. I expect low numbers. Hell Canelo's PPV didn't even hit the 500k mark I don't think. And that was after the Mayweather fight.
Also just another thing to point out. If Crawford gets the fight he's gonna be out of the ring for another 6 months and 2015 was already a slow year for him. But it would be worth it for him.
They need to stay away from Trout. I thought he lost that fight and the scores of the judges were terrible.
They will put Canelo in with Angulo easy way for him to look spectacular.
