I really want to take him seriously, but his footwork is awful, he doesn't use his jab effectively, has a poor guard and windmills/telegraphs his punches.
He needs a new trainer. It's all well and good feeding him these no-hopers, but unless he is progressing, technically, he'll fall hard when he finally 'steps up'.
He's a legit puncher but he's technically limited, 90% of his offense is jab-right hand or left hook-right hand, he falls in with his right hand and his upper body is stationary. I see him getting beat by Stiverne and Haye, forget about the Klitschkos.
I would agree that he's a hype job but I have yet to see anyone actually hype him up. Boxing writers as well as those I've seen on this site have all questioned his skills and resume
Glazkov 15-0 (11 KOS)
Malik Scott 35 - 0 (12KOS) draw
Tomasz Adamek 49 -2 (29KOS) 11/16
Wilder 30 - 0 (30KOS)
?????
Glazkov with less fights been in the ring with better talent then Wilder
Naw man, Wilder is the next Ali.

You still owe me for our Povetkin-Wlad bet.......see sig
"50B,yoz 5B Wlad>Povetkin"
Absolutely. By skill I'm simply referring to speed and raw talent. In no way does he have the same utilization of those elements at this point.
I think you are confused to what boxing skill is at this stage
Wilder has Lennox Lewis level skill and power, but nowhere near the discipline and form.
He's still got a ways to go, and he's not exactly a young buc.
lol
and you probably consider yourself an expert
Is wilder the next lewis or wlad, NOPE
Is Wilder the most exciting heavy to watch now,,,, YES
The dude is raw,, not very technically sound, suspect chin,,, but he has serious power,,
Wilder makes for great tv, because like a tyson, he will either ko or get ko'd,,, not alot of 12 round decisions in his future
He should be on every undercard,, I like this kid alot,, i know he will never be an ATG, but who cares, he is fun to watch
Wilder has Lennox Lewis skill?

Del Boy maybe?
But I suppose you could make the argument that Chisora is a world class heavyweight at the moment.
Chisora would obliterate Wilder and his handlers knew that when they decided not to fight him.

Please tell me that was a typo
Wladimir should call out Wilder.
I'm sure he'd be willing to come to the US in March to fight him.
Doubt Wilder or his team would take a fight with him. Besides, Wlad makes more money in Germany, Wilder would have to go over there

Why should Wladamir come to the States last time I looked he's the Champ Wilder needs to travel to Europe
Wilder has a leaky defense, poor technique, no footwork and a very questionable chin. I know this is a little outrageous to say but I think his power is over rated.
Wilder is going nowhere fast.
Agreed to some extent, yet he did a better job than Tyson Fury did with Firtha?
