Yup, forgot to mention that showing up light is perfectly fine.
Pretty much everything should be standardized in boxing taking this pu$$y negotiating tactics out of fights.
That doesn't need mentioning.
CW fights in this day an age are farcical given the amount of weight division there are.
It wouldn't make sense to jump from fighting a B class fighter to the current top p4p. Pac needs to prove that he's still capable of beating the same level guys that Mayweather has. A fight with Maidana at this point would benefit Pac in the same way it did when he fought Hatton, if he manages to beat Maidana and look better than Floyd in the process it will push the demand for that fight through the roof and could pressure both sides to finally reach an agreement.
Dropping down to 140lbs does absolutely nothing for Pac's career unless he plans on fighting Swift, Broner, or Brook. Other than that, I would like to seem him end his career at 147lbs where he still has some unfinished business.
Brook fights at 147
I have been driving this train since Fury-McDermott 2.
Fury wipes the floor with Wilder. Wlad most likely KO's Fury late on but I feel Fury still has a lot of untapped potential.
Tyson Fury took Chisora's soul. Chisora would retire on his stool or standing in his corner with his back to the ring saying 'I want to continue' between the 9th and 11th round in a fight against Pulev.
I had a sh*t load of money on Fury to win on points. . .
Much shorter? By what, 1 inch? Ouma fought small and showed lateral movement his output had nothing to do with it.
He makes no adjustments, he just sticks to opponents like glue pressuring them to the ropes until he gets through with something. Not one has tried tying him up or pivoting out because they suck quite frankly. Hes not effective center ring unless you're completely static, can fans not see that? Keep moving, keep turning him. GGG needs to set his feet.
You can hardly miss him with the jab.
His left hand is dangerously low at all times, look how low its brought back after he jabs and probes, Lara will find home with that straight left.
Lara's fast, crisp straight shots will beat those wide, telegraphed hooks. The real danger is he remains static and shells up like he has a tendency of doing.
He needs to counter - something he neglects and get out.
Its a very effective style and he has huge power but if people can't see his limitations IDK what to tell them. Of course their reply is the number of amateur fights he had, Lara had about 250 himself and he too is limited. Most top amateurs are limited and get stuck in a certain style.
He isn't proven to be elite, he is certainly not unbeatable and Lara has a chance as long as he don't shell up. He is more than capable of outboxing him center ring.
Lara wasn't allowed to hydrate above a certain point, the fight was in a sandpit and Angulo won no round outside of a knockdown in two rounds. He also takes far more risks than GGG and is willing to take 10 to give 1. GGG is more calculated. More a stalker.
GGG may well win, you have to favour him but I'd bet anything that Lara's style would give him big problems. I wouldn't be surprised for one second if Lara went the distance and was competitive. If he didn't have tendencies to shell up and I thought he'd get a fair shake, I'd give him a good shot of taking a decision.
You have dropped bombs all over this thread.
Lara - GGG would be very competitive and would most likely go the distance in a 115-113 type fight. However, GGG wins it 120-108 on all three cards.
Stiverne destroys Wilder. Povetkin beats Stiverne convincingly in a very competitive fight.
Povetkin KO's Wilder without a shadow of a doubt. This is one triangle theory I can get behind.
bhop is a bum, who didnt win a single round.
Kovalev is a real fighter champion, not these water down guys hopkins is used to beating and thats the reason hopkins has absolutely no success against him not winning a single round.
Bernard 'The Bum' Hopkins
- Held a piece of the world middleweight championship from 1994 until 2005
- Made twenty successful defenses of the title.
- The first man to hold all four major sanctioning bodies' titles when he won the World Boxing Association title in 2004.
- Ranked #3 on their list of the RING "10 best middleweight title holders of the last 50 years."
- Former RING LHW Champion
- Eldest boxer to ever win a world title in the history of modern boxing
I'm no fan of Andre Wards style but he cleaned out a very strong SMW division and made it look easy.
It baffles me that a boxing fan could compare Ward to the Rod Salka's of the world.
I see Ward edging Kovalev in a very tense fight.
FYI Ward was a 16/1 underdog to win the super six :lol1:
It's a great overall card but just not PPV worthy. It doesn't matter how stacked the undercard is, in order for people to pay them fat stacks the main event has got to be high-stakes and compelling.
Literally the only PPV that comes to mind that people may have bought based on the co-main event is Floyd vs Canelo when, Garcia vs Matthysse were the warm-up, and even then it was always the main event people were shelling out for.
Hearns logic in putting this on is shaky at best and it'll show when it brings in some seriously poor buy figures.
That is a big call. Sky promotes Matchroom's cards very well and for that reason I see many British boxing fans buying this card.
Cleverly wins in a fight that will mirror his first fight with Bellew. Neither Bellew or Cleverly can fight any other way
I'm a big fan of both Fury and Chisora. However, Chisora has gone as far as he will ever go by fighting Vitali for the heavyweight title. Fury is younger, fresher and has more potential.
War Fury!!!
Too technical. Cotto is the better technican.
This is deep. My eyes have been opened.
I did, I honestly thought Cotto had no chance.
I changed my mind the minute I saw Sergio in round 1, though.
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
All top networks who show live boxing should make an app for iPhone and Android were we can do live scoring and at the end round it up and post (ideally) before the judges scores come in if not then when ever.
We won't get much winey ass b!tches
What is stopping you from making a boxing scoring app? Show some ambition!
Why do u keep making threads about some fuking 1-0 hw
There is a general consensus on this forum that at 1-0 Trevor Slam beats Pac and Floyd on the same night. He's an ATG in the making and should be getting more publicity.
you need to add another fight for it to work. If you meant to have a triple threat match to get Garcia then I'll go with Lucas
Because Danny wouldn't fight him if he won lol
:lol1: Great posts.
aaahhhh cant wait. If stiverne lays on the ropes like he did with crapreola hes gonna get ko'd
Stiverene will KO Wilder in devastating fashion before the 3rd. This fight is a mismatch. Stiverne can do whatever he wants and come away with a win.
Guerrero is a solid step forward for Khan. If Khan can do anything substantial at Welterweight, he should dispatch Guerrero fairly comfortably.
I look forward to this fight.
