Black Fight Fan TV responded directly to Steve Kim and encouraged him to reach out or talk face to face at a fight.
Of course Spence won't get the same credit as Lomachenko. They crowned Lomachenko P4P #1 for beating a 37 year old man moving up 2 weight classes. That requires delusional, unconditional support.
Hearn already tried to make that fight last year, Breazeale chickened out. And he will surely not fight Whyte now, he's already the mandatory.
Dominic Breazeale had 3 weeks notice. He was set to fight Stiverne but the WBC made Wilder defend against him as he was the mandatory.
We however have sent a contract , signed by AJ , for April 13 th. All he has to do if he wants the fight is sign !— Barry Hearn (@BarryHearn) July 30, 2018
For anyone who says Hearn/AJ never meant they were sending a contract with AJ's signature on it. Had to school some dummy on this two days ago.
Agree however Hearn will want a competitive fight , yet a fight that he should comfortably win, because he will be wanting to ensure Whyte is still available for April if the Wilde fight with Joshua doesnt happen
Don't see how Manuel Charr is a competitive fight. The guy's been KO'd by a cruiserweight.
And You've all been telling us that no-one knows who Joshua is in American , calling him Anthony Johnson/Jackson yet apparently it's some superstar fight that generates 100 mill or whatever. How does that work if wilders fighting someone who no-one knows who he is stateside?
US media promotion
UK media promotion
Sky Sports + Showtime promotion
All 4 belts
Charismatic, big heavyweights (Joshua is as charismatic as a plank of wood to me, but most think otherwise)
UK fans flying overseas
Las Vegas casinos + venue
Favorable date (most likely)
US, UK, international PPV
I think Haymon, Finkel, etc. were willing to take the risk, and I'm sure they considered the reasons I listed above. If they were wrong, Joshua still would've taken home $50 million. This was a golden offer. You know Wilder would've done his best to promote the fight, since he'd have been on the side taking the risk. That would've decreased his time in fight preparation significantly. With a signed contract and a guaranteed $50 million Joshua could've sandbagged the fight promotion to focus on preparing.
Dude, you can't even manage to get some Green K on a forum. Shut the fuck up.
By my estimation you can't even manage to get a job in real life. You're more worried about "Green K" on a forum teeming with morons - such as yourself. Do you take pride in having over 4000 posts in one year and acquiring some "Green K"?
Like I said before, nobody cares about Kovalev.
This guy is a bias idiot and a motormouth. He can't say 5 words in a row without saying alright or ok or right. Hearn is a very rich successful promoter. This guy is a dummy who loves a captive audience so he can build up boxers he likes like Wilder and Jermall while trashing champions like GGG and AJ who he hates. The guy is bias and unfair to the point of absurdity. Everything he has to say can be thrown out as totally worthless. He is just an uneducated stupid fanboy with his own boxing site.
Watch this video too:
Don't be a bitch about it.
WTF? Is he for real? Why the obsession with Wilder? Or was he just trolling? Haven’t listen to the video doe.
He said Breazeale should bring the fight to purse bid and that he'd put up the highest bid and promote Wilder.
Eddie is very smart man business wise...Taking that deal DRIVES UP AJ PRICE ridiculously to the point that Eddie would have to give him something close to that every time he fights after that. That is something he doesn't want to do I'm sure.
With AJ the first thing he would think is, OK I'm making $50 Million that is just Guaranteed Purse that is not including PPV %. If he takes that deal then WTF does he need Eddie For becomes the question. I think AJ just remained Loyal to Eddie at the end of the day and he Re-Signed with him based purely off of Loyalty.
To be Fair to Eddie he is doing a GREAT JOB promoting and he has delivered everything you can ask of him as a promoter. He pays him well and he is one of the biggest stars in boxing at the moment in a short period of time so it is no need for him to leave Eddie
Although I consider AJ a complete moron, I think even he knows the Wilder fight is the biggest fight of his career by far, and it'd grant him the biggest purse (Fury fight is a distant #2). If he's loyal to Eddie Hearn, then he'd raise his price reasonably or accept pay cuts to remain with Eddie. They've been with each other since his debut, yes?
I think the $50 million offer would put him closer to comfortable retirement and shorten his career, which would indirectly damage Eddie Hearn. Guess there's that. Still, how loyal do you have to be to someone to go through grueling training camps and take blows to the head for a longer period of time? I don't think AJ declined out of loyalty: I think he fears Wilder and was also kept out of the loop by Eddie Hearn as to the legitimacy of the offer, which made him more likely to believe him. Recently he came out saying that he didn't see proof of funds, although this contradicts what Eddie said weeks ago ("we're not asking for proof of funds"). His reasons for not accepting the offer don't comport with Eddie's very much at all.
What is amazing was Hearn was in New York and wanted a meeting with Finkel.
He was denied the meeting. It's so unprofessional and childish.
Never seen anything like it.
Eddie Hearn canceled the first meeting fyi. Was scheduled on a Tuesday, but regardless:
Anthony Joshua came on camera and said "give me $50 million up front and I'll sign the fight tomorrow." He didn't accept the monetary offer when it was presented to him, and Eddie chose to insult Finkel (this was at the height of the "Shirley Winkle" tripe) rather than act like a professional. I don't blame Finkel for claiming the meeting would've been unproductive. They made a demand and it was met, but they chose to be wishy-washy and not say yes. Then Eddie came up with the silly excuse that verbal agreements are legally binding. Why meet with someone who isn't accepting what they asked for?
Neither did Wilder. Who cares?!
It’s not happening and that’s all that matters.
Who made a point of sending a signed contract? Who turned out to be a liar? Lmao.
I don't mind the fight but Whyte was meant to be mandatory anyway but he got shafted by the WBC without any real explanation.
Why was he meant to be the mandatory? Per WBC rules being #1 ranked or holding the silver title doesn't necessarily grant mandatory status. Him and Breazeale won fights a few weeks away from each other and didn't fight to bring clarity to the situation.
