He has only been tested positive for meldonium, it's not going to happen again. None of the Russian athletes take that stuff anymore.
Wrong. He tested positive for ostarine after he was scheduled to fight Stiverne.

It is possible but the fight would still happen, at worst it ends up like the Tony Thompson situation where it comes out way after the fact.
This fight needs to come off, so it will
Get ready for AJ vs. Bellew or more likely Chisora. Or maybe they’ll dig up a Euro-can ilke Hammer. Once Povetkin gets caught again, fast Eddie will pull the three-card-Monty switch.
It’s going to be pretty hilarious if Eddie ends up running around defending some late-sub matchup nobody wants and Wilder vs. Fury is happening.
so you think it's a bad thing exposing those who cheat?
I don't believe Povetkin is a cheater. Both failed tests were very suspect and were for amounts (nanograms) that would not affect a fly.
And Stiverne wasn't exactly exposed, was he. He received a slap on the rist (75K fine) and got installed as mandatory.
I would say none. I don't think team AJ want to undergo the kind of strict testing that would catch Povetkin out as it risks getting caught up in the net themselves. It's one of the reasons they don't fight Wilder. They would need testing to try to slow Wilder down but in the process would be forced to slow themselves down.
None. The only times he's failed drug tests is when he got close to Wilder. There is no Haymon Protection Program in the UK.
