Anyone who says Kovalev can't box and wasn't any good doesn't now boxing and couldn't see him actually hanging with Ward and beating him at times in both fights, also Ward is a Olympic Gold Medal winner, cleaned out 160, won the super six, quit easily and hasn't loss like in forever, i think sense he was 10 years old.
Kovalev was out boxing Ward at times and both fights were close, if only Kovalev did his abdominal exercises correctly and had stamina, that fight would've been super close, just like the first fight was and it's his fault that happened, now he's got the chance to fix those mistakes and be champion again and clean out 175, then ask for the Ward rematch.
But he won't even do this and keep training the same way, then get stopped again and retire.
Also he would probably lose to Ward again, because Ward is just a smarter boxer then Kovalev and that's a fact, also Ward would find another way to beat Kovalev in another rematch, Ward might just fight Kovalev inside toe two toe, rough him up style and take Kovalev"s legs away, this way, then knock him out, these fighters will figure out multiple ways to defeat you in tough fights, then make it easy, just like Floyd and other high ring IQ fighters.
But Kovalev is no joke and there's nothing wrong with losing to Ward, only if you actually put in all the true hard work and not leave it in the gym, just ask Floyd about putting in actual real work in camp and doing two a days and 40 minutes of sparring with no rest and only a water break at times, going against 3 sparring partners for 40 strait minutes, Kovalev you need to talk to Floyd and get advice on actual training camp preparation and hard work.
Until then, your going to simply keep getting stopped, until you retire and that's a fact.
Biggest mistake he could ever make is taking a few months off, he seriously needs to take a month off and get his ass back in the gym and work on defensive techniques without getting hit from sparring partners, because of his concussion, this isn't difficult to do in sparring and pressure situations while training and this will improve his legs and stamina problems
He needs to work on head movement and abdominal core strength and maybe developing a defensive style like Winky Wright, to protect his chin and catch and counter off, of Winky"s defensive style like he was able to do.
Tape his gloves to his head and make him move his head, James Toney style at least from side to side.
He can become world champion again easily, because Alvarez isn't that good and was getting beat and Biv, isn't tested yet.
Kovalev will never be a champion again and nobody will care. Now he begins his descent into obscurity.
Only reason he became champion again was because he fought some tomato can for a vacant belt that Ward dropped. Kovalev should have thanked Ward because he would have never been champ if it wasn't for Ward retiring and vacating the belts. Kovalev fought 2 bums after Ward and as soon as he stepped up in competition he lost again. Don't see Kovalev beating any of the top LHWs,
I like Kovalev. Really I do!. I kinda felt bad that he lost in such a humbling way. I wish his fans would stop saying he was winning the fight. It was a competitive fight that he was doing well in. He was also getting tagged repeatedly with the jab and getting beat up to the body. Alvarez was setting up that shot the whole fight. Kovalev got fatigued, his hands were way below his waist, so it was only a matter of time. If he came back and won another title, who seriously believe he'll be able to take on any of the elite fighters at 175?
He can make a come back as long as he isn't too affected mentally. He's going to have to improve his cardio conditioning though. He appears to have a significant stamina issue. There's no way he should have been that exhausted from the 4rth round on. He's either neglecting his training/ fitness or he's abusing substances...or he's shot....or a bit of all of the above.
I had him winning the fight 4-2 going into the 7th. Suddenly everyone hops off the bandwagon and acts like he’s faded. Why do you assume he underprepared?
I don't assume he underprepared, I don't know if he did or not but I'm fine with entertaining different theories.
4-2 Kovalev or 3-3 I think are fair cards going into the 7th, Kov didn't look like total **** but he started to look fatigued waaayy too early in the fight -- maybe that's age or maybe it was under-preparation.
I was never on the bandwagon -- I like Kovalev and I think he's a good fighter so I'm interested to see where is career goes from here. Maybe that was the beginning of the end, or maybe he just assumed Alvarez couldn't knock him out and acted accordingly and that's why he lost. Maybe he was fatigued but not totally gassed, and was just biding his time so he could recover and go for a late KO and that blew up in his face.
I wouldn't rule him 100%, he's not where he was a few years ago but I think he could win a LHW title again. Maybe this loss will be a huge motivation for him and he underprepared for Alvarez. It'll be interesting to see what happens with his career.

Dude, you can't even manage to get some Green K on a forum. Shut the fuck up.
By my estimation you can't even manage to get a job in real life. You're more worried about "Green K" on a forum teeming with morons - such as yourself. Do you take pride in having over 4000 posts in one year and acquiring some "Green K"?
Like I said before, nobody cares about Kovalev.

There is so much love in your heart that it frightens me.
