Canelo is absolutely despised in Mexico, mostly because of the Mayweather fight. His Mexican American fans are all he has left. I hope they desert that modafuka.
I don't think Canelo is stupid enough to duck this. His legacy, and his fanbase will surely diminish if he turns this down.
That's why I'm still hoping it gets done for September, a duck this blatant would be humiliating for him. Everybody already hates him in Mexico, he can't lose his Mexican-American fans as well.
Parker was so lackluster today.
No power, no inside game, no gameplan.
Ruiz could have won this had he been more active. Dunno why Abel didn't encourage him to throw more punches.
Going by this performance, Parker loses to every big name in the division.
Joshua, Wilder, Klitschko, Fury, Ortiz, Haye, etc.
A really poor performance, he showed nothing.
The real question is, was he good enough to beat the Mexican mickey rourke?
tremendous skills, and simply an outstanding physique and punching power.
This is the reason why mickey went into acting i heard, just look at this beast :boxing:

Such a shame Kawaghi wasted his prime in politics, he coulda been an all time great. Pinpoint precision and heavyweight power in a middleweight's body.
It's sad how many people care about money they will never touch.
These fukers need to get in the ring, I couldn't care less how much they get paid.
And neither should you.
Why is everyone here thinking Molina is more than a gatekeeper?
He was schooled by Soto, and was only in the Lucas fight because of the knockdowns, other than that he was getting destroyed.
I'd say Molina is worse than Emmanuel Taylor, easy Broner shutout.
Is there a stat I am unaware of in boxing where a KO counts less then a win if you're getting outboxed in the fight prior to it?
I mean I guess it doesn't matter in the long run, but you can see Andy Lee's limitations in both these fights. He was outboxed by guys that had never proved themselves, and he ended both with a great punch.
But i'm absolutely sure GGG would withstand that, and with his power, would have Lee out before either of these guys. It's a predictable fight, and nobody wants to see that.
That's the thing, Gennady is too good for 160. Every single fight there he is a comfortable favorite. Boxing is about risks, isn't it?
Lee was getting outboxed by Korobov and Jackson. He has very good power, but that's all he brings, he has no chance against Golovkin, who has a really solid chin. And that's not to mention that fukin horrible Chavez Jr knocked him out.
160 is dead, GGG needs to move up.
Unfortunately racism is a huge part of this sport. It's pathetic really but it is what it is. This is a prime example of it.
The man is a beast but there are "certain" posters that want to see this man lose, and you know why.
He's definitely more popular with Mexican Americans.
Dude was always seen as a hype job thanks to Televisa.
The hate went to another level when he was schooled by Mayweather, people were pissed that he fought so tentatively .
I would say Chavez is more popular, he has the luxury of having the last name so people will forgive his quit job, Canelo doesn't have that.
If Ortiz wins, it'll be one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
I've seen him about 5 times, he's struggled against journeymen, and gotten a couple of gifts.
He has to pull magic out of his arse to even make it competitive.
Zhiming better not get a title shot after fighting 4 pisspoor bum bags like the ones he did.
Would be the worst opponents in history beaten for getting a title shot.
No brawlers are because they aren't good enough or skilled enough to beat them. Go watch dog fighting instead if your not entertained by the sweet science.
Without brawlers this sport would be dead and buried.
So the man likes getting fukd up the arse... very... weird sure, but it shouldn't have anything to do with his promotional company.
Oscar can do whatever tha fuk he wants as long as he gives us great fights. He's good for boxing.
what a war.
Miura is insane, can take any amount of punishment and come back.
Roman took an inhumane amount of punches, props to him, that body shot would have knocked a horse out.
Stevenson will get brutally knocked out at least twice before his career is over. book it.
If I were him, I would cash out, because one of these younger unknown guys is gonna spark him out sooner rather than later. He's 38. His skills are eroding. Power can only carry you so far at that age.
