I heard he put Toney in a body bag.
Mickey was responsible for the sorry state of 'lights out' after a brutal spar.
He'd warm up with Khan and Manny, then have Toney for the main course.
He knocked the dude out? not sure what part of the fight you missed.
Nobody got knocked out

It's pretty common knowledge
You heard wrong. He is a movie actor and by those standards he was a good boxer. By professional boxing standards he was a bum who's only wins were setups against even bigger bums than he was. Any pro boxer his weight who was worth a damn would slaughter Rourke in his prime.
this man is simply a jealous hater.
you clearly always wanted a dog and and manpurse (combined) but didnt have the confidence to pull it off..
'Boliodogs'? i mean come on, more like jellydogs
Do you really have to take it all out with vicious hatred by attacking Mickeys clear skill, good looks and talent?
he was simply tremendous.
he was like Lomachenko with his slickness and footwork
with Ernie Shavers power
Out of this world natural talent, could have been an all time great.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Such a shame Kawaghi wasted his prime in politics, he coulda been an all time great. Pinpoint precision and heavyweight power in a middleweight's body.
are you mad?
he's already an ATG in my eyes, 13 wins 13 KO's.
sure his resume isnt great, OK.. but everyone was terrified of him.
The real question is, was he good enough to beat the Mexican mickey rourke?
tremendous skills, and simply an outstanding physique and punching power.
This is the reason why mickey went into acting i heard, just look at this beast :boxing:

Mickey has quite the eccentric collection of hairpieces...he wore this one to a kickboxing tournie last summer in Saint Tropez. Probably not one of his best selections...some of his fights even looked more real than that hairpiece.

Wtf?that guy looked weird
I remember hearing about prime Rourke, the gym wars he had with Stallone and De Niro are legendary. He was a maestro and a brawler, a fleet footed tip tapper and a in your face left hooker.
He coulda been somebody, he coulda been a contender.
He was 62 years old bro and dominated, I noticed Boxrec are refusing to acknowledge the fight yet have all of Chavez Srs bums on there?
How do you dominate somebody you have paid off?
Mickey was legitimately a tough guy, he knew some basics and did spar with a lot of well known guys but no one took cheap shots at him because they liked him.
He is a bit wacky carrying his "boxing career" this far but he isn't hurting anyone, literally!

Mickey Rourke on sparring Duran:
" remember one time I'd been sparring with him in Miami ahead of one of his fights and I was kind of having my way with him "

I know its only sparring but sounds like Mickey did a number on him, must have been a humbling experience for hands of stone.
He's actually interesting in that I think his pro career in the 90s was the last example of honest to God, indisputable fixed fights appearing on TV in boxing, at least in America.
