maybe ruiz could have beaten joe.
i think joe beats hopkins any year. toney in 94 wouldve had a chance vs joe.
then theres mccallum and a prim etarver (his prime lasted one punch)
so no joe probly wouldnt have gone undefeated, either would any other fighter ever
let's not forget joe beat hopkins, beat pavlik, beat lacy, beat EVERYBODY put in front of him. joe shows up big for big fights, and he will win BIG..... if you read his book the first chapter is called winning is everything..... because to him and his team, it is. jones wins very few rounds - 3 or so
wlad will KO valuev.... people dont realize how little power valuev has
it took him like 11 rounds to beat bergeron when dominic 6 losses guinn did it in 2 or 3
he's never even hurt a decent opponent
not really.... .he got knocked down against brewer and salem because he didnt care to train for the fights..... watch him vs mitchell..... thats about as hurt as hes ever been... the b-hops knockdown everybody knows what happened.... he got caught big time with a clean shot. never hurt or been close to knocked out though
all african american fighters (lacy, hopkins, jones) are godly until they step in with calzaghe.
once joe cal beats them beyond imagination they are garbage, and were before the fight? whoever said they were so good? calzaghe ****in sucks, put him in with somebody better. Some people never learn
ya joe cal was favoured big time by oddsmakers.
however, there were many fans and fighters (including jeff lacy, hopkins, lennox, list goes on) who thought jones was still a good enough fighter to beat joe calzaghe.
however even though jones tried to bring what he said he was gonna, joe didnt let him do that.
i think were in agreement here, finally somebody steps up.
not saying joe beat a prime SRR but hes at least #2 maybe 1 p4p right now, we'll see on december 6th lol
floyds biggest wins: corrales, castillo, de la hoya, judah, hatton, baldomir
calzaghes biggest wins: b-hop, kessler, eubank, lacy, mitchell, jones
corrales was a big win for floyd at 130, although corrales' head wasn't there still big win for floyd
castillo was close but he still got the win and won a rematch - in castillos prime
de la hoya - very underrated win for floyd, although he didnt dominate not on p4p
judah - no longer on p4p - was on downside of his career - not on p4p
hatton - beat one of the best 140 lbers in a long time - on p4p list
baldomir - beat judah and thats it for his career
Calzaghe
Hopkins - big win as it came in between hopkins wins over winky, tarver and pavlik.
higher than any floyd opponent on p4p lists
Kessler - awesome 168 lber beat in unification - in top 15 p4p
eubank - had only lost to collins by 1 round, nobody else - big win for calz - was he still on p4p lists then? im too young
Lacy - ruined his career - not on p4p
mitchell - this fight would have been for wba, ibf and wbo if not for horrible german judges
overall calzaghe has beaten better opponents in his best 6 fights
after his best 6 calzaghe didnt face too much competition at all where floyd beat a whos who of lower top 10 fighters from 130-147.
he may not fight till 38. maybe only 35 thats why i want him to fight the best right away hes ready, still improving and i just don't see any opponents who are nearly as fast or strong as him.
you're wrong. gamboa might have the fastest hands in boxing. him or valero. (yes both faster than pacquiao)
i would LOVE to see gamboa vs valero in a year or so
gamboa has arrived and is faster than any featherweight though, i don't think mtagwa landed a punch. he needs to fight chris john NOW! HBO champiopnship boxing in june, witgh juanma on the undercard.
gamboa is the best featherweight in the world. he's the best fighter at 130 as well and would beat anybody at 130 or less except maybe valero in a shootout (if valero can make that anymore)
i love campbell. he knows hes a 36 year old black grandpa badass who isnt afraid and likes to talk a good game. i give him the benefit of the doubt forjust this one time vs bradley. he also agreed to a rematch that bradley did not.
brought out the bitch in juan diaz. not even marquez could do that.
this is perfect, i hate gus johnson. when you watch him you can figure out a few things.
such as which promoter has the best relationship with showtime? answer: Gary Shaw. what fighter from saturday belonged to shaw? the one gus was rooting for, antonio demarco. I can't stand to listen to this guy ride vic darchinyans nuts everytime he fights also. you would think him beating a shot 5 years over the hill jorge arce was greater than salvador sanchez beating wilfredo gomez in his prime.
what has kessler done since his loss to deserve a rematch?
only compelling fight would be vs adamek for cruiserweight title, which i think joe would win and should do
COME BACK JOE!
joe, wladimir and vitali are my fighters who i am sure will always win before their fights start, i know i can sit back and know my guy will win. gonna miss him now hes gone
ive seen all his fights
tonight was technically his best fight
defense wise he was perfect as arreola said he threw when he should moved when he should, arreola threw like 33 punches a round he normally throws 80 or so. he landed 6 power punches after 4 rounds. floyd cant touch that either can vitali in earlier fights.
arreola had all that you said about holyfield. so did jc gomez. holyfield has no hope getting in range on vitali.
lennox would not beat the technically perfect fighter that vitali wsa tonight
earlier in his career he carelessly brawled. now he brawls and throws while the other guy watches and misses.
i dont understand how any of you think holyfield would get remotely close to vitali arreola is 6 4 and he couldnt holyfield is 6 1 or so... hed get annhilated worse than any others mentioned here imo
i disagree. i dont think he wouldve landed many/any hard shots. and vitali took lewis' best uppercut. i dont see how lewis can ko him? vitali has never even been hurt by a punch?
