Has Calzaghe ever been seriously hurt???

It looked like a really weird punch, I've never been hit with that area of the arm so I wouldn't know, but you could see the shock absorbing into Joe's neck. It could have been a freak KO I believe if it was a guy less physically resillient than Calzaghe. Yeah, it caught him in the right spot, too bad he didn't capitalize on it. He let Joe get his wits about him. And the rest is history.

He took some bigger shots during the rest of the fight and they didn't seem to phase him. Maybe he was a bit cold in the first. Joe was 'out' when Jones connected with the forearm like Steve Bunce said. When he got up, look at his hands they slipped a bit, if they slipped completely I wonder what would have happened, if he was sprawled out a bit. Joe Calzaghe can take any shot that he see's coming (any shot, world class chin), but the ones he doesn't see... That was the only time he's ever been "hurt". After he dropped to his knees he couldn't hold himself up. Personally, I think he was out, he only woke up when he hit the floor. I thought the fight was over. Roy should have took him out. I bet he's kicking himself in the ass right now.

Ive always wondered about those scorecards, how did Calzaghe win 118-107 on a scorecard when he should have gotten two points off for the knockdown and an additional point for that foul of his? whatever. I think Eubank shook him at the end of their fight, didnt look too serious. Ive heard that Brewer hurt him to the body pretty badly in their fight, actually havent seen that one myself though. Mitchell shook him, but he still had his wits about him, so he wasnt that bad off. Brewer never really hurt him, Brewer was hurt several times though. Mitchell IMO was the most Joe's ever been hurt.

I'd say the Mitchell and Salem KD's were pretty solid... less so the Hop one. Interestingly (or not?) he said on a chat show that when you're KD'd you don't know anything till the count of six. Solid chin though. I've been KD'd once.. Left hook to the body. I was aware of everything from the count of 1 till I got up at 9.. then everything after.. unfortunately. Shit hurt lol. It was my third week sparring.

Salem and Mitchell both look like they stunned him. Not hating on bhop, but bhop just look like he knocked calzaghe down without stunning him at all.
