WIth any other ref... Andrade is the champ... It is just how it is....
Exactly.
And it wasn't like the ref was Steve Smoger who allows fights to go on longer than average. (okay by me)
Even when the ref broke them up the final time he was practically in the middle of both of them up until the knockdown/out.
Think about it, if that fight was close and Andrade was the one wobbling you know for a fact that the ref would have stopped it. No question.
Yeah I see what all of you guys are saying. But the ref is not gonna stop a guy in the last thirty seconds who was winning the rest of the fight. We definatley saw hometown bias from a shitty ref, but he did get up enough on his own feet to not get waved off.
Title fights are 36 minutes. If Bute wants to fight less than that, he can relinquish his belt and go back to fighting 10 rounders. Until then, the last 30 seconds is part of the fight and if he is getting beaten and can no longer support or defend himself, the ref is obligated to call it for the fighter's safety.
If it was Andrade stumbling around the ring in the last 30 seconds, the ref would've had no problem waving it off. What happens in the first 35:30 shouldn't affect what happens in the last 00:30. It was a shitty ref and he made the wrong call. End of story.
EDIT: So is it ok not to call a touchdown in the last 30 seconds of a football game? Or give a basketball player the go-ahead free throw attempt if he is fouled going up for the game winning shot as the clock winds down? Because that is essentially what the ref did here.
Falling into the ropes 3 times, on your own, and not being able to walk, takes the subjectivity out of it. As does leaning against the turnbuckle when you stand up from a KD and aren't able to walk to the ref.
He was KTFO.

First off the ref was absolute shit, Bute was dead but showed huge balls and heart for getting up. He beat the count and won the decision.
It was the right call since the time was over, this was not like Chavez vs Taylor where there was still a little time where Taylor could have taken a few more punches.

He COULDN'T CONTINUE!!
The REPLAY showed the REF started the count late, CONTINOUSLY LOOKED to the other corner ONCE he began (looking for WAYS to STOP the COUNT). He saw Andradre BARELY out his corner & halted the count; EVEN IF you BELIEVE BUTE BEAT the count, he could NOT hold his balance, SO IF he was up at 9 & the ref asked him IF he could go on & instructed to put his hands up & COME TO HIM (Instead of the REF approaching him) he WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT!! ANDRADE TKO12 BUTE!!!
bute might have beat the ten count we will never know but he was definetly unfit to continue seeing as though he was sleeping on the ropes. the last 30 seconds he couldn't stand up and kept falling into the ropes. fight should have been stopped andrade won. not to mention the ref letting bute clinch the entire fight till the 11th round.
It's still a subjective decision from the ref. on whether a fighter is shot or not. Many refs would've stopped Pavlik in the first Taylor fight in the second round. There are rules but alot of times they are misinterpreted.

No man. There's a big difference. Pavlik got up walked towards the ref, looked dead in his eyes, and clearly had his legs under him. He then proceeded to show why the fight should not have been stopped.
This guy was completely out on his feet. It was like he was ****ing sleepwalking HE FELL INTO THE ROPES ON HIS OWN FACE FIRST. What more evidence did he need?
Yeah but he didn't get to watch replay on a big screen tv under no pressure. I counted it four times over and over. He beat the count, he was standing straight up. Sucks b/c I was pulling the Adrande. He lost no face in that fight. He was losing on all the cards but he knocked him out at the end, just not bad enough to keep him on the ground a little longer.
What parts of "leaning against the ropes" and "out on his feet" and "unable to continue" are you not understanding? It doesn't matter when he got up, he couldn't stand up unassisted. The fight should've been stopped, or at minimum there should've been a count, one of the OTHER THREE TIMES he fell against the ropes in the last 30 seconds.
GO **** yourself you fucking keyboard warrior. Instead of using that keyboard to type a whole bunch of bullshit why dont you just stick it up your ass.
Aw... you are butthurt that you make an idiot out of yourself?
The fight should have been stopped before the knockdown!!!
Since when can a guy fall, nearly over the ropes ON HIS OWN, UNTOUCHED, and be deemed by the ref fit to continue? He was half concious a good 10 seconds before he got knocked down. He fell into the ropes, his abs on the top rope, UNTOUCHED. He was completely out on his feet. The fight should have been stopped before the knockdown, plain and simple.
With over 4,000 posts on a BOXING forum...how is it that you don't know the rules? Seriously, this isn't even complicated and is repeated on every television broadcast of boxing.
You can not be saved...I don't need to repeat what others have already said, but come on.
What's your excuse for even making this thread? Did you really not know the rule of not being saved by the bell in any round including the 12th? With over 4,000 posts on a BOXING forum, are you really that uninformed?

fuck yeah, i agree 100%. the fighter is supposed to walk to the ref to make sure he is okay and you CANNOT be saved by the fucking bell so that means if your hurt your fucking out!!!
true very true it was shitty overall.
Dude please shut the **** up, it is obvious your uneducated in the sport.
Don't you understand what I said? Wait... that is too hard for you to comprehend. Fucking idiot.
I think this whole thread is moot because the ref said Bute probably wouldn't have beaten the count if he didn't warn Librado all them damn times.

People just have their heads up their asses....
We have all heard that phrase um what? a thousand times in various championship fights, maybe it is hard for it to sink in when you have crap in your ears.
