Considering that Hearns' first fight with Leonard was back during same day weigh in and Tommy still came in two pounds under, dropping to 140 wouldn't make enough difference to save Amir in this one.
Floyd has always kept himself in phenomenal shape, has amazing fundamentals and hasn't absorbed much in the way of damage during his career. He could fight until he's 40 if he chooses and fight at an elite level.
Hard to believe that Canelo has been a pro longer than GGG and has fought more than twice as many rounds as a pro. The ginger's as ready as he'll ever be. I understand the need to let this fight simmer a bit, but hopefully it happens by the end of the year.
Why would a 40 year old Klitschko get involved in a multi year tournament? Pulev doesn't seem interested in fighting anyone with a pulse. Joshua needs a few more fights with better competition, he also has less than 32 total rounds as a pro.
Maybe in a year or so. Throw in Takam or Parker in place of Klitty.
On the one hand, Povetkin has a resume light years better than Wilder's. On the other, Sasha struggled with a blown up Huck. However you'd have to be mildly retarded not to at least give him a chance against Deontay.
postol seemed hopkins height.
Maybe. Corley is 5'8" and Postol looks maybe 4 inches taller.

So he's probably around 6'. Tall mofo for 140.
winky is not 5'11. i've seen him listed as low as 5'9 in tales of the tape.
Yeah 5'9" or 10" sounds about right.

He definitely utilized those long arms with his jab and ear muff defense.
Um because Hopkins had already moved up to LHW to kick Tarver's butt by the time Floyd moved up to 154 to fight DLH so they were 21 lbs and 3 weight classes apart.
Cool question doe. J/K. :Flush:
Briggs didn't have a title until a week before Wlad fought Calvin Brock. Briggs lost that title in his first defense. Wlad fought that guy.
Same reason Lennox Lewis chose to fight Rahman in April 2001 when Wlad held a title and had called him out after the Jefferson fight in March of that year.
They both had fights scheduled and by the time those fights could've been made, Briggs and Wlad had lost their titles.
Well Arthur Abraham was an absolute monster at MW. 5 KOs in 17 fights at SMW. He was a guy having difficulty making weight at MW. About the same height as GGG.
So GGG will probably still knock some guys out at SMW, but he won't be the 20 KO streak destroyer he is at MW. Which is why his haters want him to move up.
Ward was 176 when he fought Dawson over 3 years ago, Kovalev was 183 when he fought Mohammedi 4 months ago. Canelo and Golovkin are about the same size as each other, but Canelo seems to be more comfortable draining himself vast amounts.

Ward a little taller, Little G a little broader.
You're slipping. I found one where GGG is taller.

Doesn't change the fact that he is 2 or 3 inches shorter than Ward.
Golovkin is a lot closer in height to Ward than he is Mayweather that's for sure.
I disagree, that's for sure.
Here's GGG vs 6'1" Ishida
http://www.thesweetscience.com/images/stories/boxing2/GGG-and-Ishida25-3-2013.jpg
Ward is listed at 6'1"
http://www.ringsideboxingevent.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Golovkin-vs-Ward.jpg
Not a big difference.
Well here's GGG next to 5'7" (according to Kev) Alvarez
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/EVcg_qyd20c/hqdefault.jpg
Ward is listed at 6'1".
The perspective in your pic is a little suspect. Reminds me of this.

Sad to see Ward attempting to reinvigorate his career at the expense of GGG instead of doing it in the ring. Ward's stans tell us 168 is stacked, but Andre can't fight a single person with a pulse to fight? I get why Ward is petrified of Kovalev and Stevenson. Kovalev for obvious reasons and Stevenson for starching a non zombified Dawson in the first round. Surely he can find someone to fight.
So is Ward going to fight another TBA at a CW, or is he still weighting for GGG to finish his PPV unification bout and then winner of Cotto/Canelo?Because I'm pretty sure Kovalev can give him something to do in the meantime.
No. GGG should fight at 172 and fight Ward in Oakland for free! Otherwise, he's a coward.
Sorry, just trying to fit in with the Ward fans....
It's always funny to see them argue that Ward and GGG are the same size out of one side of their mouth, then act like the halfway offer was a non offer/duck out of the other side.
Hell yeah I want to see them fight. Meet halfway on weight. 50/50 split on money. Neutral location. Let's get it on. There just really isn't any sense talking about it so long as Ward is trying to fight TBA on the Cotto/Canelo undercard and GGG is getting ready for his PPV unification bout.
We have pictures of Ward and Golovkin side by side you retard he's not that much taller. Are you getting your heights from boxrec?
You claim Ward is 7 inches taller than Mayweather, who's about the same height as Canelo, who's about the same height as GGG. Then claim Ward is barely taller than GGG, but I'm the retard? Good stuff, keep up the good work.
I said he looks about 7 inches taller, not that he is. No Golovkin doesn't look the same size as Alvarez in that pic you posted, he's hunched over. He's atleast a couple of inches taller.
Ward has significant advantages in height, reach, weight and experience at the elite professional level. Pretty silly to argue otherwise. You can continue to do so, don't expect any further participation from me.
2 or 3 inches, you mention that like it's a big deal.
You had no problem with Little G fighting Mayweather who looks about 7 inches shorter.

Thanks for the pic showing Ward is a lot taller than all of them.
Like the poster said earlier, little G is hunched over giving the appearance he's shorter than he is. He's at least two inches taller than he looks.
Good grief. So you're the guy saying Ward is 7 inches taller than Mayweather. Floyd is at least 5'8", which would make Ward 6'3". Now you're saying GGG is 2 inches taller than he looks in pictures, which would make him about 5'10". Him and Ward about the same height doe. Please tell me you're trolling.
Ward is arrogant? The guy is very nice, humble, religious, and well spoken. Arrogance is the guy you root for saying he can beat everybody from 154-168.
Ward's the one who said he could beat a Klitschko a few years back.
Check. Mate.
Not quite as arrogant as TBE, but close enough for government work.
