Depends how big that app gets. ESPN is trying to roll with the trends. I think it would be great and could be big if allow all espn live games and programs to be viewed on there as well without a cable subscription.
Gladly pay $5 for that and like YouTube, Hulu or PS TV and wifi
;10719731']Please name the top fighters right now at 154 pounds.
Why?
1. Cotto
2. Cintron
3. Angulo
small drop
4. Dzinziruk
biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig drop and the others can be switched around any which way.
;10719711']What was Mosley after his draw to Mora? The number 2-3 WW? Get out of here with that trash man, Cotto hasn't looked even close to his prime self after that beating to Margarito. ACCEPT IT, STOP BEING IN DENIAL.
There was nobody else in the division besides Berto who might as well be ranked at 140 because they were the only people he would fight. Pretty easy #3 when you have a big name as Mosley.
I never saw anybody say hes still prime I said hes not shot. Do you even know what shot is? Roy Jones Jr is shot Shane Mosley is shot What has Cotto done to deserve to be called shot? He looked good against Foreman and what did you expect against a heavy puncher like Mayorga? Run into his power? He fought a smart fight and dominated. He's not drawing with these fights. He's still dominating so he's not shot but still not prime.
;10719700']The only reason why he is the top guy at 154 is because Martinez and Williams moved up. Face it son. Williams would of destroyed Cotto. Martinez would of knocked him out.
So he still would be #3 with them in the division. That makes you shot? Victor will lose to Floyd and Pac is he shot? Is Devon Alexander shot because hes 3rd best? lol I swear to god they shouldnt let kids with down syndrome post.
;10719672']HAHAAHHAAHA Ryan Rhodes won his last 4-5 fights by stoppage too! Does that mean he isn't shot?! Lmao.
Dude you look retarded. Trying to compare a future HOF like Cotto to a euro bum like Rhodes. Mayorga and Foreman is better then anybody Rhodes ever beat. Foreman would box his ears off and Mayorga would knock his ass out
God how ****ing stupid some people can be. You lose to the best fighter in the world and that means your shot lol He's closer to washed up then shot but he's not even completely washed up yet especially since he's still the best 154lbs fighter in the world idiot.
God no. Pac was way to fast and active that Clottey just quit was satisfied to just be part of the event and survive to the final bell.
Floyd is coming off a layoff so thats always a big question mark because Leonard looked good coming back against Hagler but the next year layoff he lost then the next one he got stopped. Floyd has to be more active or it will cost him eventually. However I think Floyd wins just as easy because Ortiz has no jab.
Hell yeah thatd be hella cool. You know Cotto would bring Floyd a hell of a fight.
Anybody saying Cotto is shot obviously does not know what the **** they are talking about. He won 2 straight fights by stoppage. Shot is roy jones or shane mosley. Is Cotto in the same shape as shane or roy dont think so.
;10719805']Now where would you rank Foreman and Mayorga?
That is completely irrelevant for Foreman. Obviously hes all about movement and hurting that knee completely ruined his career as he got easily defeated in his next fight. He was top 5 before that.
Mayorga has just as much case to be top 10 as anybody else after those 4 just because nobody sticks out and he did give #1 Cotto a pretty good fight one of Mayorga better losing efforts but Cotto still ran away with that fight.
i never said he had a glass chin but dude dont got no margarito type chin. so add that with his horrible defense, cotto would have had spit flying out of his mouth all night and probably could have ko'd him aswell, if not won a 12 round decision. u made it seem like williams would blow out cotto like he is a bum.
Hes just a hater. Cant waste no more time with him. Its one thing to say Cotto is close to be washed up but he sure as hell isn't shot like no roy jones or mosley. According to this guy if your not the top fighter your shot.
I think the best fight at this point is Gamboa vs Broner. I think Gamboa would put a beat down on Broner.
I think you'd you have to favor Broner after their two most recent performances and also of course Lopez would be coming up against the bigger guy. If Lopez can get revenge then it would bring his odds back up but for right now I say Broner stops him in 8 or lower.
2011 - Probably Canelo so far. Froch a close 2nd.
2010 - Sergio Martinez
2009 - Manny Pacquiao
2008 - Manny Pacquiao
2007 - Miguel Cotto
2006 - Winky Wright
2005 - Jermain Taylor
2004 - Glenn Johnson get some love for beating Jones & Tarver
2003 - Roy Jones
2002 - Vernon Forrest
2001 - Bernard Hopkins
2000 - Shane Mosley
Matthysse won 9 rounds to 1, it was a highway robbery. That's it, now please stop with the threads.
Yeah right, this will go on for a couple of more days until the Wlad-Haye fight gets more hype this week.
Come on now lol This is a much closer debate then who actually won the fight.
whats the difference between gettin gifted or robbed.
A robbery to me is that there is no possible reasonable explanation for the guy who won to really have won that fight. A gift I think is a fight that is so close it could have gone either way and the guy who won was lucky to receive that gift.
I don't understand why he would need a win over Miranda or Bika to get a fight with Bute when it already almost happened before he beat Pascal twice.
1. Dawson
2. Cloud hopefully he beats Pascal to make this bigger especially in canada
3. Andre Ward vs Carl Froch winner
4. I wouldn't mind him going up for one final fight to try and take a CW strap
He does not score fights so I agree that the hate should be more on the judges and Don King then anything. it was a good fight so you cant be that mad at the guy. Although he would gain so much more respect if he made an effort for an immediate rematch to try to prove he really is the better fighter.
I can agree he doesn't have the drawing power he thinks he does and isn't the superstar he thinks he is. I know he has superstar talent but he just doesn't have the drawing power.
It's fine though. Hopkins had a great and prosperous career and he wasn't he most action packed fighter. He'll retire rich. However I don't think you can question his thirst to fight the best when he took over super middleweight within 2 years after the super 6 started. His problem is just wanting to become Mayweather so bad without just letting it happen on it's own and just fighting. His long stints off really hurt what could of been an amazing resume by now but it's still really good and he can still do a lot more before he's done.
Rickey Hatton would beat the living dog **** out of that boy lol I don't think he'd finish him because he doesn't hit much harder then Maidana if at all but he's a terrible style match up for Broner. Broner has no foot work and would just stand in front of Rickey letting him be right where he wants. Hatton clinch, body punch, and work Broner probably pretty bad en route to an comfortable decision.
YES. 100% without a question. **** the belts. When you've beaten everybody in your division while the others refuse to fight you, he should without a shadow of a doubt be labeled undisputed. They should definitely try to make something like this a rule.
Too much of this "O lets a milk a fight" girly stuff. Nah boy you turned down the fight. That's forfeit.
Except Broner actually does his best work in the pocket. Ricky might win but he's eating a lot of hard counter in the process and Broner hits way harder than Floyd.
Except isn't nearly as fast, disciplined, elusive, and cannot adapt like Floyd at all.
It's really only fair. Povetkin was the one who ruined the first time they were suppose to fight. If Povetkin doesn't get flagged, they fight. It isn't Wilders fault. He was the champion and still was willing to go to Russia. Povetkin blew it.
Neat.
If you think Pacquiao is exactly the same as he was five years ago then I don't know what to tell you. Being past prime doesn't mean he sucks, it simply means he's an older fighter who's lost a couple steps . For what it's worth Bradley probably lost a step or two himself.
Age and years of fighting catches up with everyone, it's just the reality. Because of everything I mentioned (Pac getting older, Mayweather vs Pacquiao era being over, Vargas is a not a compelling fight) HBO isn't interested in putting money into it. It's simple really and like I said, if team Pac actually picked a good opponent, like Crawford for example, HBO would be all over this fight. Bit they didn't so they'll go to ESPN PPV or Showtime or whatever they can manage. Clearly they are doing what they want versus what fans actually want so nothing is stopping them from their Vargas fight, no one needs to complain.
ESPN & Showtime need to turn this down as well for the greater good of boxing. They should of laughed at Canelo-Smith as well. The only way good fights will be made is if all the providers of boxing put their foot down and refuse to put on anything less.
It's obviously Arum who put this crap fight together. Manny would honestly fight anybody. Hopefully Max Kellerman can get into ESPN's ear to refuse the fight as well. I love Manny and hate an example is being made out of him but it's for the greater good of boxing.
Always great to the see the young prospects succeeding from state side. I'm rooting hard for him and the girl who the Gold last Olympics too. We need young exciting prospects like him to get some interest back because God knows boxing is a novelty in America anymore.
Thanks to all the **** fights and people refusing to fight each other.
It's literally so stupid. They should penalize these guys and put losses on their records and win on GGG's since IMO turning down a fight should be the same as forfeit. It's basically quitting on the stool without getting into the ring.
HBO should have learned their lesson. Canelo-Angulo sold like **** and so with this Smith fight. They will make literally next to nothing. They need to pressure Canelo into taking the fight. Haymon needs to slap some since into this boy too. Jacobs isn't making any fight bigger by staying inactive and not fighting anybody of note.
His fight with Gamboa. One of the more exciting fights between two highly skilled, fast, and furious little guys. One of my favorite fights ever. I think he has a chance against anybody at 140-147
To Jr's credit he wouldn't have dumped the belt in the trash to duck GGG. The only reason they didn't fight was because of the contract dispute between Jr & Top rank. Then after he finally got out of that his lazy ass tried Light Heavyweight.
Canelo literally turned down the fight. That's forfeit in my eyes.
