The fight is up on youtube and just watched it. This is seriously one of the best technical fights I have ever seen. Its rare that we see two fights with that much skill fight each other, its Rigo vs Mayweather, Ward vs Dirrel. I never understood why people like oscar states, that to beat floyd you have to bumrush him and pressure him nonestop. To me that plays right into floyds hands, that way he can pick you apart coming in all night long. And even more telling is that the one thing all floyds victories since the Oscar fight have in common, is that all of these guys have zero counterunching ability and all try walk floyd down. I know that Castillo had some succes doing so, but floyd aint that guy enyone, and Castillo lost. Cotto witch is not a great counterpuncher, was having good succes waiting until the right moment and then explode. To me Canelo posses the exact right tools that could hurt floyd and win the fight, namly fast explosiv countecomboes. This fight is really a hardcore match up

When Pac and Mayweater where the best of the best and the where towring over everyone else, the whole world was buzzing for a fight between the two. It was like ALi vs frazier 1 where the whole world wanted to see the fight. But rather then letting all the anticipation and excitement climax when the two would finally face each other inside the ring, the fight just faded away excuse by excuse. When it finally became aparent that the ego`s,money,and corporate thinking was more important then giving the fans what the wanted boxing as a whole started to loose some of its spark. Where would boxing had been if Ali didn't fight Frazier and big george ? The change came with the supersix, it re-sparked the whole thing, and it was then the major promotors started to take notice. We now have Ward fighting Dawson,Froch fighting Bute, and Martinez fighting Charvez jr and the the big wheels are turning again. This is what we need if we want boxing to become a major sport again, casual fans and new potential hardcore fans simply get bored and shy away on to other things when the fights that would determine who is the best in the weight class don't get made. Great warriors and legends are forged in fierce battle and by the eyes and minds of those that witness it.

Pros and cons ?

Prime Roy made pro boxers look like drunken civilians like no other boxer in the history of recorded fights. Solis had just beaten the great Felix savon in the Cuban championship and was ranged the best amateur 91 kilo boxer in the world. Here he faces David haye at the world championship of boxing. David haye starts out dominating almost knocking out Solis causing a huge upset, but as soon as it gets rough he starts to fade badly. Its almost like he looses his self belief punch by punch and literally throws the fight away.
