Lucian bute already forgotten ?

It happens with all fighters who are not as good as the fans expected. It also happened with Abraham for example, but i will always support Abraham!:boxing: Bute BTW is no bum because he lost to Froch, hes a good boxer and he has power. I was never a big Fan of Bute but maybe Froch is just some kind of cryptonite to him. What i hate most is the "i told you so" people if a fighter gets "exposed".

His fans can't show their faces, they will hide until he gets an impressive win, this is what happens when your a ARROGANT FAN and you hype a guy so much and you disrespect everybody else in his Division :nonono: I remember when David Lemieux was getting a lot of hype on this forum as well...what ever happened to those fans as well When you get HYPED UP and you don't live up to expectations when you step up the Competition then YEAH you will become Forgotten QUICKLY!

There used to be a lot of talk surrounding this cat, but after froch demolished him he seems to have lost pretty much all the support he had. What do you think ? I think that there is a large group of Bute fans who used to run around talking smack and making outlandish claims aboot all the ATGs he would KO and that he would be on every box of Rice Crispies and selling deodorant on tv if he was American. But now that reality has been harshly visited upon them (thanks Carl), they realize how silly they looked and most of them are now in love with ?. But they are still here. When Bute takes a warm-up-get-ur-confidence-back fight against some can and comes away with the KO, we'll see a flood of "new members" with 5 posts and a gazillion e-bucks posting pages of drivel. If Bute is smart and takes a few fights before rematching Froch or blows Froch off altogether, the wave of "new members" will recede and Bute will again enjoy vociferous support from numerous senior members.

I feel the same thing is happening to Pac to some extent.

when someone gets knocked out his stock drops and when someone hasnt either boxed recently or has a fight coming up in the near future they dont get talked about as much as the fighters who do. whats strange about that? once bute comes out of the shadows and fights again he will be back in the conversation. he still has a large fanbase.

I never was a bute fan, but his being a stickler for fighting only in canada vs a certain type of fighter kinda told the whole story for me. Contrary to popular belief, boxers aren't measured by the ease of their victories but by their adversity and ability to prosper through it. 90% of fighters are undefeated when they get on the big stage, through the beatings of outclassed fighters. To be a real champ you have to beat a real champ, Bute was always a paper champ in the eyes of many boxing fans including me.

Not worth discussing. Did squat before Froch and hasn't done anything since being snakebitten.

Well hell, since we're at it, let's not forget ginger. Is broner far too overhyped?? Absolutely. Right now he & ginger are the sorriest excuses of prize fighters to ever emerge. But I wish Bute the best of luck. Hopefully he learns how to really fight. I still can't believe that people actually thought he would beat Froch. Mind baffling stuff right there.

Besides what has already been said, Bute is only talked about usually when he has a fight coming up, and right now he doesn't.

I was never all that high on Bute but he deserved better from his "fans", i wish him the best in his career. You have too understand that NSB is for most just about the next flavour off the month Bute still has a few fans on here and even if he loses too Froch again ill still support him.In regards too people giving out about him never leaving Canada when the original super six was drawn up im almost sure they left Bute out some say Bute stayed out himself and if anyone can correct me on this they are welcome too also the guy was a monster ticket seller in Montreal so wherever the money is rant over
