I'm a UK muslim but can't stand Khan...there goes your theory out the window. Having said that, even though he doesn't deserve it, I'd much rather see Khan in with Floyd than Maidana since they were the only options we were given. I say that from a stylistic perspective. It's been reiterrated many times but how many more come forward brawlers are we gonna see Floyd in against?! We know he beats that style 9/10 & we know he'll probably do Khan in easily enough but as a boxing fan, I'd much rather see what Floyd does with Khan's style than with Maidana's. At this stage of their careers Maidana is definitely more deserving but stylistically I'd prefer to see the Khan fight. Floyd left us with sh1tty options unfortunately...

I know quite a lot of muslim boxing fans online and in real life that do not favour Khan over every other boxer and some that dislike Khan.

For the same reason the majority of Pinoy's love Pacquiao. Historically, both have been complete and utter garbage in the boxing World. So when someone above the standard of a journeyman pops up, a bandwagon is created. You really don't have a clue do you.
