Maidana looks like a completely improved fighter to me. Still the agression and killer instinct, but it's a smarter and more efficient now. His defense and tighter/quicker punches are what I have noticed the most in the last two fights since training with Garcia. He will only improve upon this style.
I don't see how Garcia beats him. Garcia is garbage. Maidana can go down, and has before, but his chin is solid and he recovers as good as anyone in the sport.
Someone also said Garcia has a speed advantage. Where? I don't see it in the hands or legs. Especially if you just look at the Maidana, Garcia has trained. Maidana throws far tighter and quicker punches now, Garcia doesn't know what a tight punch looks like. They may be equal in power, but I think Garcia gets hit a lot more and gets stopped.
If you want to beat maidana you need to throw alot more punches then him, or be a slickster.
Danny is neither of the two
Shot Morales was neither of the two and he damn near beat Maidana. It was life and death.
garcia via left hook. it's too educated.
if chino can't blast him out of the water i think he'd get knocked out. and i don't think he could blast him out of there. garcia has a good chin, and unless he walks into one i think he can diffuse chino's power the way other's have been able to do.
gunfight for sure. should be a great fight.
Thankyou.
As I said above, it has been proven that a solid chinned fighter with at best "decent" defensive skills in Ashley Theophane was able to resist the "unstoppable force" that is Garcias left hook, and bloody Garcia up pretty good.
Also, Khans pitter-patter punches had garcia busted up after only a couple rounds
How he's going to do Maidana when he has no inside game, no jab, no movement is beyond me.
Apparently all he needs to do is stand there and wing the left hook and he'll ko anyone
I think Maidana gets inside on Garcia where he can't "time" his left hook, and gives him a good old fashioned thrashing.
Maidana vs Ortiz all over again, except frankly Garcia isn't as good as Ortiz
He's actually looked a bit faster and his punches are less wide ever since the first Morales fight. Swifty by TKO.
Garcia outboxes Maidana early, maybe even dropping him. The longer the fight goes the stronger Maidana will appear to get but Garcia holds his own and wins a close unanimous decision.
He usually look gas by the end of the fight.
have do you think this one plays out ?
Garcia. Danny is a very smart, very tough guy, He didn't beat Khan because he was lucky, he just watched, timed and countered. He will do same to Maidana.
Garcia is coming fellas. Don't sleep on dude.
i favor garcia slightly but i wouldnt count maidana out of this one, style wise i find this fight very intriguing and garcia might just be the perfect guy for maidana's power and brutality to find a home....

Danny is neither of the two
Danny is a counter puncher with good timing and decent pop, that is a effectiv style against all types except the style maidana brings to the tabel
Maidana will be in his face all the time makeing it difficult for Danny to time his punches, Danny is not fast enourgh on his feet to get away and maidana will land big power shots all night.
Maidana Ko 5
Garcia v. Theophane. It was a close fight, but no one was robbed. I have it 95 to 94 in favor of Garcia. The only rounds you can give to Theophane were 1,2,3, and 8. Round 9 was a 9-9 tie due to the low blow deduction on Garcia (which was a BS call IMO).
This was a fight in which Garcia was a 21yo 15-0 PROSPECT fighting a 29yo veteran and he put on a gutsy performance to earn the W.
Garcia has got 2 British scalps under his belt. You sound bitter. :bottle:

Garcia is getting hillariously overrated for beating khan. by the same people who call khan "****"
So Garcia is now a great fighter because he beat a "****" fighter. See the logic.
He ain't special, he ain't great, he's just a servicable 140lb fighter who managed to exploit one of Khans many flaws.
Ashley Thophane, a basic, domestic level 140lb'r went to war with garcia and arguably got robbed only a couple fights ago.

That's Garcias level

9 fights is only a couple fights ago, no room to improve in 9 fights, eh? mmmkay
i get supporting the hometown boy, I do the same, but there comes a time when unbias is required, and as it happens, khan is just not good enough to beat garcia. yes khan is a shit fighter and garcia beat a shit fighter, and garcia is not a world class elite fighter, he is (to quote you) a serviceable 140 guy, that would give anyone problems. can we say the same for khan? well, you can, but the rest of the world won't
I get the swifty hate though, I truly do. lol bringing up theophane. epic :pat:
garcia has good boxing abilities but lacks footwork. maidana has an iron chin and has never been knocked out. i have maidana winning this by UD or maybe even by late stoppage
Because he is rubbish & not beaten anyone worth a damn.
Hes just a slow, plodding brawler who beats up on C & the odd B level guys.
Garcia is better in every area than him, I'd even say his power was on par. Everytime Maidana steps up he losses. He had lucky escapes against an old, faded as hell Morales and a completely shot Corley.
Just one of those painfully overrated fighters. Overrated due to he has decent power and zero defense, people like this and find it exciting.
Next time he steps up he gets his ass whipped. I honestly think the way to beat that guy with severe ease is go to the body. He hates being hit to the body.
Don't go to a guy like that's chin, go straight to the body. Its weaker than Enzo Macrinelli's chin.
he ate a massive body shot that would've folded anybody and still kept coming. maidana has been dropped more times from a shot to the chin than a body shot lol. ortiz got him 3 times with a shot to the chin. it's easy to drop maidana but your problem is keeping him down.
it's funny to see these same dudes (look who it is... Slightly Dazed :lol1:) who always yell maidana is overrated but at the same time give him absolutely no credit.
he has an arguable win over kotelnik, someone devon alexander had to rob, and a close call with khan. who are these A level guys giving this bum humiliating beatings exactly?
let's not pretend garcia breezed thru an even more shot to **** erik morales the first time either.
