This thread started before Usyk fought Joshua. I would have picked Foreman for sure before the Joshua fight, not so sure now..

Some of you people are absolutely delusional, prime George Foreman would beat Usyk to a pulp. 6 4 228 in the ring naturally is not the same as 6 3 pumped full of juice and growth hormone like Usyk has been. Foreman would have been walking around close to 250 pounds as a 21-22 year old.

Usyk boxed as MW at amateur level. George was probably 220 pounds in high-school, a naturally huge man who even as a teenager was bigger and more powerful than Usyk has ever been.

You’re making stuff up, like Foreman has superpowers.

Foreman won a version of the HW title at 45 years old. Do you think Usyk could do that? Because i'll guarantee you he can't and won't.

Now think about what the 24 year old physically prime version of him would have been capable of.

And in an era where they fought 15 rounds and didn't have steroids and growth hormone like Usyk has. Some people on this board think boxing started in about 2001.

Not much of a size difference, and Usyk has handled brutal punchers like Bredis and Gassiev who are all over 220lb on fight night

I don't see how Big George handles a guy as quick and skilled
Usyk is a slick boxer like Ali, but unlike Ali Usyk is naturally a smaller guy and he would get hit by Foreman. I think it all depends if he can take a hit from Foreman.

Foreman, in his early 20s, was weighing in around 215/220 to fight as a heavyweight. That is around the same weight that Usyk was entering the ring at as a cruiserweight. Heavyweights don't need to make weight, so why on earth would a 21 year old Foreman be cutting 30lb+ for his fights. That makes no sense at all.

We know the stats and fighting weights for both guys, so we know that, in their primes, they were almost exactly the same size. Neither ever failed a PED test, amateur or pro, but Usyk would have been tested way more often that Foreman. Did they even have PED testing for boxer's in Foreman's day?

Head to head, in their primes, I would pick Usyk to beat Foreman comfortably on points. He is just so much faster and more skilful.

Theres this myth about the old school guys. The reality is Ali was the same size as David Haye, Foreman not much bigger than Usyk, frazier about the size of that small cruiser canelo was going to fight etc.

Doesn't make them bad fighters and it's not to say size is everything, but some people just can't be realistic "Foreman would be 250lbs if he was around today"

Well he is around today and he is 250lbs but that's because he's old and fat.

Usyk is 6 foot 3 with 78 inch reach, the exact same physical stats as Ali.

If he gets in the ring at 220, what do you think he walks around at? HW's don't make weight but that doesn't mean he hasn't dropped poundage in training. Mike Tyson weighed 217-220 in the ring but out of training camp he walked around 240 plus. Average training camp he would drop at least 15 pounds. This is without cutting weight.

You do know that HW's lose weight like any other fighters while in training don't you?

Foreman was naturally a much bigger man than Usyk who is roughly the same size as the juiced up Holyfield. Evander who is regarded as an ATG HW couldn't stop or even drop a 42 year old Foreman and you think a prime George would struggle with Usyk. You're crazy bro.

To say Usyk and Foreman was almost 'exactly the same size' is laughably ******.

Moorer was winning about every minute of every round till he got complacent. Usyk humiliates Old George, which admittedly means nothing but you brought it up. You also brought up 15 round fights, George never had one. He might have had a cardiac arrest had his fight with Young gone over 12.

I like Foreman, I’m a big fan but you are not being realistic about his strengths and shortcomings.
