Would Usyk school a prime "Big George" Foreman

I must have forgot Moorer being laid out with one punch after winning every minute. That's kind of irrelevant. We're talking prime George not old George.
Moorer was winning about every minute of every round till he got complacent. Usyk humiliates Old George, which admittedly means nothing but you brought it up. You also brought up 15 round fights, George never had one. He might have had a cardiac arrest had his fight with Young gone over 12.
I like Foreman, I’m a big fan but you are not being realistic about his strengths and shortcomings.
Prime George bodybags Usyk.Comment

RJJ beat a huge heavyweight but it didn’t make him a legit force in the heavyweight division. Same goes for Usyk. I think if he fought the top 10 heavyweights he might beat two.Comment

It's like half the people who post here have never heard of weigh-ins or "tale of the tape" stats.
Theres this myth about the old school guys. The reality is Ali was the same size as David Haye, Foreman not much bigger than Usyk, frazier about the size of that small cruiser canelo was going to fight etc.
Doesn't make them bad fighters and it's not to say size is everything, but some people just can't be realistic "Foreman would be 250lbs if he was around today"
Well he is around today and he is 250lbs but that's because he's old and fat.
I never liked them George Foreman grills, btw. They made my burgers taste funny.Last edited by kafkod; 05-18-2022, 06:52 PM.Comment

NSB, where people write ignorant nonsense then call you ****** for hitting them with facts.
If he gets in the ring at 220, what do you think he walks around at? HW's don't make weight but that doesn't mean he hasn't dropped poundage in training. Mike Tyson weighed 217-220 in the ring but out of training camp he walked around 240 plus. Average training camp he would drop at least 15 pounds. This is without cutting weight.
You do know that HW's lose weight like any other fighters while in training don't you?
Foreman was naturally a much bigger man than Usyk who is roughly the same size as the juiced up Holyfield. Evander who is regarded as an ATG HW couldn't stop or even drop a 42 year old Foreman and you think a prime George would struggle with Usyk. You're crazy bro.
To say Usyk and Foreman was almost 'exactly the same size' is laughably ******.
No worries pal, if you want to believe young George Foreman was a fat slob at who walked around at 250lbs and cut 30lb+ for fights, you go right ahead ...Last edited by kafkod; 05-18-2022, 07:03 PM.Comment

They most definitely did have steroids and HGH in the 70s. What they didn't have was PED testing for boxers.
Foreman won a version of the HW title at 45 years old. Do you think Usyk could do that? Because i'll guarantee you he can't and won't.
Now think about what the 24 year old physically prime version of him would have been capable of.
And in an era where they fought 15 rounds and didn't have steroids and growth hormone like Usyk has. Some people on this board think boxing started in about 2001.

These days you have heavyweights who pumped themselves up to heavyweight. And then you have about 80% , who claim to be super heavyweights but in reality? They are just out of condition.
Mike Tyson weighed 239 pounds vs Brain Nielsen, and that was Tyson out of condition. People can go and check his physique, if he would of appeared in today's division like that? People would be claiming that he is a super-heavyweight. Mike Tyson even at 239 pounds was in my opinion, had a better physique than 70% of the active heavyweights in today's division.
If Tyson was 239 pounds at his heaviest in ring weight, this proves what you are saying. Mike Tyson out of training camp, must of been walking around at 250 + pounds.
And this would probably be the same for fighters such as Foreman, Norton, Frazier, Lyle, Ali, the list goes on. These guys were a lot bigger than people perceived.
They where all boiling down to 210-220 pounds, trying their upmost best to get as light as possible. Because that was the training culture in boxing back then.
In comparison today, where fighters seem to all be part time body builders. Even Anthony Joshua has pumped himself up over 240 + pounds, he is not that weight by default.
Lennox Lewis & Rid**** Bowe where close to 240 + pounds by default.
Note: I just think this era of super heavyweights is misleading and distorted. There are super heavyweights, but then there are just fighters out of condition. Maybe they are there because the talent pool of fighters in the division has decreased.
Just posting weights and statistics does not tell the whole story mate.
