Canelo has a lot of fights available to him that would be worth about as much as the Bivol rematch. If he fights Bivol again at 175, which I doubt he will, he’ll do something differently, don’t ask me what.
my thinking is that Canelo will return to the relative safety of 168...

We had a similar story, here where I live, of another great 17 year old kid, shot at a party and killed. Many of his so called friends and teammates saw what happened but not one of those cowardly individuals would come forward.
Laterian Tasby has been dead nearly 15 years and still nobody...

Like him or hate him, Canelo (and Joshua too for that matter) is a very successful dedicated professional. If he takes the rematch, it’s because he has a plan to win. I’m very curious to see what that would be.
not sure there’s going to be a rematch though.

I guess it might be a threat to future profits to simply advise people on the best way to formulate their own formula. No, better just advise people against it. It takes a factory to feed a baby.

If you can’t easily disarm a feeble 70 year old woman using your police issued nightstick, give the nightstick back and your badge and uniform too....

I called the Canelo/Bivol fight a 50/50 proposition. I'd still pick Canelo to defeat Andrade and Charlo at 168. Nothing I saw at 175 against Bivol has changed my mind. Bivol did everything right but if his defense had not been near perfect, the fight might still have ended differently.

Had he been a puncher, he might have stopped Charlo. On the other hand, if he were a puncher, maybe Charlo is more careful.
Great fight.

There is a big difference between standing and throwing a continuous barrage of arm punches and bouncing around the ring like a 300 pound superball. Yes, Miller throws arm punches too but Kownacki and Arreola don't bounce....

As I said before the fight, Bivol is very good at controlling distance and has quick feet. What I hadn't seen though was how tight his defense could be.
People crack me up with comments about how a fighter is "basic" when what they are seeing is a fundamentally sound fighter....

He’s never going to fail another test but he’s never going to be any good again either.
Believing a 300 pound fighter with that level of energy was clean was like believing in the Easter Bunny.

There's a lot of black Tom Brady fans. Figures they would like an athlete I can't stand

I took out a whole flock of pigeons once. Doing about 90 in an F-350, I was just coming out from underneath an overpass. The lead pigeon hit my grill and the rest, about 10-15 of them, followed him in. Sounded like a burst from a machine gun.

Bivol/Beterbiev
Bivol /Canelo 2
Bivol / Ramirez
not saying it wouldn’t be a good fight but he’s a distant 3rd right now for Bivol. Maybe if Gilberto fought some relevant opponents who were nothing like the pushover he fought yesterday,...

He should not have shot at all. I get that if you need to shoot put the bullet where they are least likely to go careening off somewhere. What I’m saying is there is no real threat from a weak old woman holding a knife. At worst just kick the legs out from underneath her or pop her in the chest...

I was only half kidding. In the amateurs Ennis lost only 3 fights. All to the same guy. Guess who?...
