I say that's a preposterous idea, and that if Hearn had pulled a trick like that then both he and the WBA would have been sued by Povetkin's promoter for keeping him dangling in limbo for a month under false pretences.

As a former boxing promoter, what's your take on it?
I think Hearn was worry about Ryabinsky taking this to purse bid so they used the Wilder fight as a bargain I'm sure Povetkin is getting a split not flat fee

We will see after the official announcement

He still wants to fight Wilder but in the UK. He isn't ducking the fight.

i think we all agree AJ is the clear A-side and can make big money against anybody. so what would the logic be in wanting to face a dangerous puncher next instead of waiting a little longer?
Everyone here with a sane mind knows that the longer they delay the danger, the more money that Hearn can make. Joshua is only the A side in the U.K, and what people forget is that Joshua is NOT, I repeat, NOT the hvw champion, undisputed champion or lineal champion. But his peoples represent him like he's the hvw champion. The true champion is the one how wants to fight top competition. Not old men and inferior fighters.

None of you have seen the contract that Hearn sent to Wilder. All you know is that Wilder said that he would sign, and he didn't. You didn't know dat, where th fight was at or if they would fight in September. None of that was on that contract. How do I know? Finkel told us lmao. That's what Wilder, Haymon and Finkel wanted to know. So stop actions like YOU knew when they didn't know, lmao. Stop saying that he should sign. Foh wI your Joshua **** blowing lies.

Wilder was the one holding the contract. All he had to do was to sign it.

Like the other poster here said, that could have been settled in 5 minutes. Problem was Wilder and his team just ignored the contract for weeks without any comments or anything. Man weeks. How many days do you need to make any comment for a fight you claimed you desperately want? It's hilarious.

Ortiz shafted himself by deciding to fight Wilder instead of AJ and failing a PED test then getting KO'd.

                      That makes no sense.
