A fighter having fought once a year for the last five years and still regarded as being in the #1 P4P rankings just doesn't make any sense in the overall grand scheme of things. If 2 fights a year is the average for fighters, then such fighter has virtually avoided 5 fights in the last 5 years. It's...

No longer a huge deal. Fans are so used to it. These fighters even get to be inducted for their HOF award.

Yeah, I'd like to see more of Norman in any type of fight before I can conclude he passes the eye test for me. Doesn't bother me the Ennis fight didn't happen. Plenty of time for that. Asking for a retirement check this early don't impress me that much. Not valuing the opportunity for another title...pnut901 likes this.

Hearn must have read my posts about Crawford not fighting again. Yeah, I'm the only one saying that when everyone else assumed TBud is going after Fundora, Tszyu and Ortiz. Nah. He'll lie low this time and hide himself from the media. He won't be active on social media either because he doesn't like...shwaap likes this.

Nah. I don't think Crawford would fight Fundora, or any of these prime hungry fighters like Tszyu and Ortiz. Jermall is most likely no longer on his radar either. Forget about Ennis who will remain at 147 starving himself for at least another year. T Bud will keep a low profile this time and stay away...

UK fighters that are inactive never worry about coming back and they still make substantial amount of money. Their market on such fights remains active. Saunders vs Eubank rematch would still sell, for example. Brits would buy it and investors would be happy to fund it. It would happen soon, mark my...

Shields, probably feeling guilt, advised Jermall to spend some time with Roy Jones Jr for rehabilitation (was it Hopkins?)...

I don't know what went wrong with this dude's career. He's clearly very skilled and got an entertaining style just like his brother. Fear of losing destroyed him. It's a terrible thing in this sport as if losing is not part of it. He probably took whatever his trainer, Shields, tells him directly or...Last edited by brettWall; 09-02-2024, 01:12 PM.PRvazquez likes this.

Nothing to do at all with "appreciation for improvement." It's all about fans being fans for life to a guy they see as a diety. The worship him and can't possibly say anything remotely negative. They'd rather focus on a guy and his past. They're enablers like parents still giving money to...shwaap likes this.

Dela Hoya is just one among many who are saying similar things about Mayweather. Just saw Carl Froch on YT chiming in with sympathetic concern on the subject.
Wondered if NSB had chosen Froch, instead of Oscar, to write this story. Would Floyd fans here still divert the attention away from...

Prograis is most likely to stay at 140 for the rest of his career and no matter how much food he consumes he'll stay at that weight. There are many people like that. He's got a small build unlike Haney who can go as far as Mbilli's weight in just a matter of hours.
