The way I view you trying to talk Boxing and history is like this - I am a casual baseball and basketball fan. If I say Kove is top 5 ever or Kershaw is top 5 ever and someone gives me a list and I've never heard of all but 2-3 I'm not going to dismiss it or argue or decline it if that person knows the sport. I'll do my research and form an opinion if I care enough. You are a casual boxing fan and there's no harm in that. I am a casual baseball fan hence why I don't try to act like I know it or someone doesn't know it. You probably can't even name 20 fighters in the hall of fame. I mean you only know 2-3 guys on my list there.

You are almost a Mayweather fan (you've never seen him live yet had the chance) and have an obsession with him but your not a boxing fan because you don't respect the sport and haven't bothered to educate yourself on the basics.

Of that list of the top of my head I've seen 20 fights or more of Chavez, Duran, Olivares, Arguello, Whitaker, Leonard, Hearns and about that many of Ortiz and Napoles. So that's MANY but not ALL.
I would rank floyd above all those names historically.

I already said why dude. I said can make a case too not deinately better. But I said why they COULD.

Why the **** are you not telling me which ones you recognize? You are asking me something when you don't even know who the others are. You don't even know the fighters so how in the hell are you familiar with their styles or accomplishments or eras?

Floyd didn't fight great competition. Floyd's best names were either past their prime, or fighting above their best weight, or both.

And he didn't have very many fights, either.

Ok and Mayweather was 5 weight champion and 4 Lineal and didn't lose for 20 years so that's also impressive so what's the difference?

Also most of the guys I listed werent undisputed champion for long stretches atleast not consecutively.

So a lot of the guys you named don't fit your criteria.

I've never said Mayweather isn't impressive. Floyd was not undisputed once and only unified once (I'm not gonna count catch weight) even the only time he was unified there were a lot of good fighters in the division that were unbeaten so he left a lot on the table.

I just think never undisputed, unified only once, no greats near their prime are big things he missed on. I believe nearly every fighter on my list had at least one of those thus making many clearly greater and the others arguably greater.

Mayweather is a top 50 ever possibly top 40 not sure why Mayweather fanboys have to grasp that and want everyone to say he's the best ever.
