i call bullsht on that. what 20 fights from willie pep are available online in their entirety? and robinson according to historians was prime at 147 and theres no footage of it. all we got to go on is articles and highlights. no way you've seen 20 full fights from either of them.Wrong. I actually know all of those fighters and have seen multiple fights of them. Probably 20-30 of many of them too.
How many have you ever heard of of that list and seen fight? Be honest.
We aren't all dumb casuals that revolve around one or two fighters like you. Some of us are real boxing fans that know the history and care about the overall sport. I would imagine you've heard of 6-7 of those guys and maybe seen 2-3 of them. Your comments sure your ignorance and lack of knowledge on boxing.Comment

They weren't undersized. Lewis was that big which is why I have him so high. He is a matchup problem for every HW in history with his size, speed, KO combo.why would you have lewis in your top 5 across all divisions? genuinely curious about the logic behind that
holyfield & tyson were very undersized & past it when they fought him and if you subtract them, his career/competition probably wasn't above wlad's much less top 5 ATG across all weightsComment

Perhaps your comprehension skills are severely lacking but I said MANY of them. MANY not ALL. If I claimed all I'd have said ALL. There's a difference between many and all.i call bullsht on that. what 20 fights from willie pep are available online in their entirety? and robinson according to historians was prime at 147 and theres no footage of it. all we got to go on is articles and highlights. no way you've seen 20 full fights from either of them.
Of that list of the top of my head I've seen 20 fights or more of Chavez, Duran, Olivares, Arguello, Whitaker, Leonard, Hearns and about that many of Ortiz and Napoles. So that's MANY but not ALL.Comment

You really want me to go over and educate you on 20 or so fighters like I did Mike McCallum who you'd never heard of? That's a lot of work man.
You haven't even heard of most that list and don't care about them and will not even bother to watch any of them.
Answer me the question. How many of them have you heard of and how many have you seen? Just answer that question. I answered in some depth yesterday when you asked me who Mike McCallum is. This is an easier request.
Also, who is the fighter in my sig? If you don't know you shouldn't be trying to rank fighters in historical context since you obviously don't know boxing history before 1996 or care about it.Comment

It rather depends how you're defining greatness, I'd say - but I'm guessing you'd be hard pressed to convince our resident historians (to which I claim no pretensions) that Floyd was a greater fighter than, say, Pep, Fitzsimmonds, Armstrong or Leonard, although he undoubtedly earned more money.
Oh... and is that Lewis or Louis in your top 5? Lennox was a fine fighter but not many would have him as a top 5 ATG I think...Comment
