My opinions on the fighters you name here are as follows:
Ward ... he may be as good as you say he is, but, honestly, are you really saying that beating Froch and Kesslar at 168 5 years ago makes him the The Man right now?
I'm reserving my judgement till I see what he looks like against Barrera. And I still don't believe he will ever fight Kovalev. I don't think there will be enough money in that fight to tempt him into it.
Whatever, I think the best thing for GGG and for boxing as a whole is for him to stay at 160 and unify those belts. If he did that, believe me, I would to love to see him fight Ward afterwards.
Lara ... he isn't serious about wanting to fight GGG, and he would be crushed if it ever happened. I don't see him as any threat to Golovkin, not in the slightest.
Canelo ... he is refusing to fight a mandatory challenger, in his own division, without a catchweight, something that no world champion has ever done before.
His justification is that he isn't a MW. But, apparently, he still wants to keep hold of the WBC MW title and walk around calling himself the lineal MW champion of the world.
Fuck that. No way!
Rigo ... never been a fan of his, but he's Frampton's mandatory challenger with the WBA now, and I posted a comment earlier today saying that if Carl drops the WBA belt to avoid fighting Rigo he will shame the tradition of the fighting Irish. And I'm an Irish Brit myself.
Edit: If I was an Irish Mexican, I'd be even more ashamed of Canelo!
