Those fights aren't meaningful unless you want to talk about money wise. What would a win over Cotto or Canelo really do aside from line GGG's pockets? People want to see him challenged, that's what a Ward fight brings to the table. What is wrong with GGG challenging himself and fighting Ward? Can he not fight at 168 or as he suggested perhaps 164 and unify 160 after that fight? It seems people don't want that fight to happen because there is a chance GGG could lose. I think he has a good shot to beat Ward, and even if he loses a loss wouldn't really hurt him, people love to watch this guy fight.

The same people who are crying about people wanting GGG to move up to fight Ward are the same people who then turn around and demand that Mayweather, Rigondeaux and others move up 1 or 2 weight Classes and fight.

Can't have these double standards and change the rules for fighters you like.

GGG is not required to move up, he can do like Hagler and spend his entire career at 160 if he so chooses. Just remember that it was Ward nor Ward fans who started this GGG vs Ward stuff, it was GGG fans and Abel Sanchez who just randomly started taking shots at Ward. GGG fans on his Instagram posting disrespectful stuff and Abel Sanchez every interview talking about how GGG would destroy Ward. When Ward started replying now everybody wants to play the "Victim" and make Ward look like the Bully picking on the smaller guy

HBO offered the fight to both and Ward made excuses and turned it down. You can talk about this fight all you want but if both don't want it, what's the point?

                    160-168 is one weight division.

Great fighters have moved up several.

Ergo....GGG fans have absolutely no faith in him becoming a great fighter.

well, he hasnt made 168 since 2013 and supposedly is in "serious talks" with HBO/Duva for a Kovalev fight, so yes, it would seem he is moving to 175.
