This excuse that Ward is fighting at 175 is just lame, nobody said GGG should move up to fight Ward at 175, people are talking about GGG meeting Andre Ward at 168, please guys stop twisting facts, of course it doesn't make any sense for GGG to move up to 175 to fight anybody let alone Ward.
what realistic people wanted is GGG leaving this godawful 160 lbs division after last night's fight, move up to 168, get a fight or 2 against solid ranked guys while Ward does the same, then meet Ward at 168 next year for the lineal SMW championship of the world, legacywise it's really not that much to ask, and this fight CAN make sense financially if GGG moved up to 168 cuz then Ward will know he has to stay at 168 for a megafight with GGG and he'll fight more often and get his name out there again. GGG wants the easy payday against the winner of Canelo Cotto, which is understandable financially, but not legacywise, and the same people who talk about legacies are the ones defending GGG's decision which is realy ironic.
This is the fight everyone is talking about in the boxing world, there are like 10 new threads a day on this website alone about it, that would be a huge huge fight, it doesn't matter how Ward sells alone now, he can sell alone way more if he's active and fight with GGG even now would sell very very well, and will establish the winner as the best P4P fighter in the world without a doubt. If Ward wins he could then move up to 175 and fight Sergey Kovalev in 2017, which would do record breaking numbers by the time, that's what boxing fans should want to happen 2 excellent fights instead of one.
