Why do people want to see Golovkin face a fighter 2 weight classes above? (Ward)

Ergo....GGG fans have absolutely no faith in him becoming a great fighter.

you can become a great fighter in one wieght class, particularly at middleweight, where the jump used to be up to 175, where you'd fight guys who dropped weight to get there / would often fight at HW.

These types of arguments always depend on who you want to see lose. Rigo, for example, never had this demand from the same people to move one weight class above even though he can't find anyone to fight him in his division.

Those fights aren't meaningful unless you want to talk about money wise. What would a win over Cotto or Canelo really do aside from line GGG's pockets? People want to see him challenged, that's what a Ward fight brings to the table. What is wrong with GGG challenging himself and fighting Ward? Can he not fight at 168 or as he suggested perhaps 164 and unify 160 after that fight? It seems people don't want that fight to happen because there is a chance GGG could lose. I think he has a good shot to beat Ward, and even if he loses a loss wouldn't really hurt him, people love to watch this guy fight.

I love the sport and boxers who actually GET IN THE RING AND FIGHT MORE THAN ONCE EVERY TWO YEARS.

Ward is a little princess who thinks she is above normal requirements of the sport. And there are far too many boxing media sucking his **** for him.

And FYI... I happen to think that Golovkin beats Ward as easily as he beat Lemieux last night. I just see no reason for him to put his MW title chase on hold to gain and then to lose weight for a fight that means nothing in the big picture.

Once Golovkin has achieved his goal and unified all the titles, then they can talk about a Ward fight. Ward doesn't want it before Fall of 2016 anyways so what the hell is the problem? GGG will pick up the vacated WBC title after the Cotto - Canelo fight and can fight Lee in February and win his title and then he will have achieved his goal.

Why doesn't Ward try to get a title fight or two at 168 while he is waiting? What is he waiting for?
