The bottom line is Conn, and a long list of others have been outweighed by just as much as Pacquaio will when he comes to the ring against Martinez, hypothetically.

Plenty have taken bigger or as big risks as that and in result enhance their legacy if they win.

If you think it's such a crime to want, not demand, but simply want Pacquaio to do that then that's fine.
At WW Pac has already fought bigger guys. Some have outweighed him by 10/15 lbs. Margo outweighed him by 17 lbs. Even Marquez came in bigger than him. His next fight will again be against another bigger guy who could outweigh him by 10 lbs. In all his fights at WW Pac was the smaller guy.

Now you guys want him to face the MW champion at 154 when he can hardly make the WW limit at fight night?
Martinez is 4" taller than Pac. He has an 8" advantage in reach. He will be around 20 lbs heavier than Pac at fight night. Do you think this is going to be a fair fight?
When will you guys be satisfied?

Try demanding the same thing from Floyd for a change.

They do ask the same thing from Floyd and the question is when he loses, that's when people will be satisfied.

Bradley/Pacquiao/Marquez are about the same size physically, if Martinez called out Bradley or Marquez people wouldn't hesitate to cry foul but they let their hate cloud their vision.

You see, you are holding two standard here. Floyd fought Hatton and Marquez at his comfortable zone. He didnt even give them a levelling field. You should admire those who moved up and disgust those who takes all the advantages he can get to make sure of his victory.

I'm not demanding anything for Pac.

I'm saying it'd be great for him to fight Martinez.

He'll be at a disadvantage, sure. But can he win? I think so. So why not?

And I do want the same from Mayweather. Said that multiple times.

I do not know what rock you crawled out from but I have never given Floyd any credit for beating Marquez & was never satisfied with the Hatton win, being that Hotton got beaten by Collazo at 147 before he fought Floyd, try again.

This tread however has nothing to do with Floyd. It's about Pacman, on topic, or get lost.

Do you think Floyd, Duran and Robinson haven't already been in similar predicaments? Do you think this is an impossible task being asked of the greek mythology character Manny Pacquiao?

Secondly, Martinez weighed in at 164 lb's on fight night against Cintron (at 154). Margarito weighed in at 167 lb's at 150. Margarito is actually the bigger fighter.

But out of all that, here's the interesting thing. Why do you fear for Pac's life? LMAO Just the other day, I heard his name in a few folk tales from you guys.

I mean let's face it. Pac's the former Junior middleweight Champion. What's wrong with asking the former Junior middleweight champion to fight a legit jmw champion? That is, unless you agree that Pac never really won the jmw title?

That's the thing, people like this poster above get offended by wanted to Pac to fight Martinez

I have honestly never seen anything like this in my life. Never, have I seen fans get so upset an act like b*tches for asking for a fighter to take a risk against a bigger fighter. Bringing up reach and height for more reasons to be offended about wanting the fight.

Then they bring up Mayweather like some kind of defense mechanism, as if I don't want the same thing from Mayweather

Just look at the posts in this thread. It's honestly ridiculous.

Do you know what fight night weight is , Hatton was at his best 153 fighting Floyd who was 152 .

Leveling the field you dummy is not draining them down , Manny drains bigger guys down and forces smaller guys up , the dude is such a weight manipulating fraud .

Manny DUCKED Cotto without a CW that drains Him = fact !

At WW Pac has already been there and done that. He has been fighting bigger guys since he moved to WW. He started as a flyweight. He has done more than what Duran, Robinson and Floyd have done. He has surpassed what they have done. He does not need to go any farther.
