As for Martinez controlling the fight with foot movement and so forth? Yeah, I could see that but at the same time he has some weaknesses that Pac could exploit and vice versa.

I think it's a good fight and one of, if not the best fight out there for either so I want to see it.
I'm not saying Martinez is a counterpuncher myself, however he has the speed & the movement to allow him to do so against Pacman. Whose punch output decreases an alarming rate when faced with movement.

Manny has the capabilities to really enhance his legacy. 20 years from now, people will not acknowledge Pac's catchweight wins at 147 and 150.

If he beats Martinez at 154, he will be included in the same sentence as Duran who was Pac's size, but did what Pac is contemplating on doing.
      No need!

Pac just need Floyd's asz to complete his legacy! You Flowmos need to stop hiding and make excuses for Floyd!

Pac's cleaning up almost the whole divisions of boxing! Give me Floyd!!!

Floyd need to stop ducking and stop making excuses! Cotto'''''s Pac's leftover!!!

Martinez need to avenge his loss to Margarito before he step up to Pac!

pac has slowed down aswell though. a fat old man made him think twice. i don't think we'll see the old pac coming in once he feels sergio's spear of a jab. i can see pac covering up most of the fight and possibly get barker'd.

The ring walks and entrances would be dramatic but as soon as the bell rung it would be pretty academic...

Pac could attempt to get off first with Sergio but he overreaches when faced with an opponent with better footwork...

Sergio would set traps for him all night.

Even the idiots who think he's a Top 10 ATG, this fight would still enhance his legacy.

I don't understand why so many people are so reluctant for this fight to happen. Coming up with excuses as to why it shouldn't because of the size etc.

Is it risky? Hell yeah, it's very risky. Because that's what makes you great.

            Precisely!

Is he suppose to keep fighting guys "we" know he can beat?

Besides DLH in 08, I don't think Pac has been the underdog since. I'm not sure what his underdog status was before then.

Either way, like you said, people are so reluctant for the fight to happen because they don't think he can win. Well, what happen's if he wins. I'll have tons and tons of respect for him. I won't even ask that they do OST before the fight or mention anything about OST after

Maybe I shouldn't have said that; I just think it's a really good win for Pac if he can pull it off.

Floyd should just get in the ring with Sergio and the TS should stop trying to divert attention away from that by changing the subject to.........Pac as usual.

This tread is for those that believe Pacman can beat Sergio. Has absolutely nothing to do with Floyd. If you want it to be about him, go make your own tread about that specifically. otherwise get on topic, or get lost.

NO NO NO NO...Pac does NOT need Floyd to complete his Legacy. He accomplished more in boxing than any other fighter in this era and surely the past decade if not the century. Floyd is a bum. For the money which doesn't make the fighter...its a good fight for BOXING and for the fans...but as for Legacy...lol no way! Floyd is already being looked at as the fight ducker...scared. Everyone in the MMA sport is calling this guy a pu$$y. The talk on the streets and most gyms and reporters and boxing experts the same. Floyd is a COWARD. A fighter like Manny Pacquiao doesnt need a fight ducking Coward on his resume to complete is legacy. He has a untouchable legacy as it is!

To be honest, unless it was a classic matchup that left us in awe of both fighters afterwards, it would probably end up as a lose-lose fight for both fighters. If Pac wins, Sergio was old and weight drained. If he loses, then he's a bum. If Sergio wins, he beat up a smaller guy he was supposed to beat up. If he loses, he's a bum.

We'd be stoked leading in, and the excuses would roll in immediately afterwards. Same possibility with Mayweather, but it's generally more accepted at this point if Mayweather-Martinez happens.
