I would bet you in a heartbeat, but your guy will continue to run from that beating. He might rematch Kirkland instead or Fielding. But, Benavidez is only 25 or 26, Cinnabon won't be able to age him out.Comment

He could always move to take on top 175s but it's ironic he's talking about others taking tune up fights and is on the record saying he would need to take a few tune ups first at 175 before fighting any of the champs. He also wouldn't fight Andrade unless he got paid over 6 milComment

Goes to show you that these guys want big money without really fighting anyone of note.

Not a Canelo fan but he'd accomplished a lot more at 23 than Benavidez has done so far, could of swore Canelo had beaten Trout to unify the WBC and WBA titles prior to fighting Floyd. Benavidez wouldn't even unify with others when held the title, continued to fight bumsComment

Just give the people what they want man! if it's a David Benavidez fight they want then it should be a David Benavidez fight that they get. Damn his resume.
Remember you are the people's champion. Therefore, it's the people who get to select your opponents for you. I personally, blame these promotional companies and platforms for overpaying these fighters for shitty fights.
With all of these low risk/high reward type of deals that Eddie Hearn is famous for. I bet he has cost DAZN a fortune on these low risk/high reward fights that no right thinking boxing fan is interested in.Comment

Benavidez has nothing to offer. Benavidez won't even go up to 175 and fight the champions in his first fight at that weight. From his own mouth, he said he needs a few tune ups before taking on the top fightersComment

Nope, fantasies are nice, but he got punched on in the first GGG fight, he did ok in the 2nd, but definitely shouldn't have won; a draw at the most. But Saturday, he was ass and dumpster juice. That version of Cinnabon would get thrashed and broken against Benavidez or Charlo. He only looked slightly younger than GGG and was scared to attack. Did I mention slow as molasses? And, he still ran out of gas. He would most certainly take a thorough whooping from either fighter.Careful what you wish for. How many times will canelo have to beat David to satisfy y’all?? Whooping GGG a few times wasn’t enough that’s when this Benavides guy came about. I’ll say, do y’all really want canelo to beat Benavides or better yet charlo. He’ll break your heart lol than u gotta create a new boogeymanComment

point i was making is that if floyd gave canelo his shot, floyd could have said the same thing, that canelo hasnt accomplished much. but instead floyd gave canelo his shot and that's why canelo is where he;s at today. floyd beating canelo at that point really didnt do much for floyd's career, but if canelo would have beaten floyd, canelo would have been the star. the same for canelo vs benevidez.. but canelo is not willing to do what floyd did to him for benevidez.Comment

U could say the same about Hearn, he never matched his guys against each other, instead had them fight bums waiting for that Canelo payday. Andrade, Smith, BJS, GGG, Jacobs. Only fighter that got screwed was AndradeOk so who did he face instead when he took that franchise tag? I’m sure there was better fights available but Al protected his guy’s from his own stable let alone other side of the street guy’s lol I bet it gets tough being a pbc groupie, go watch aktv n come back to argue with the big boysComment
