How do it make sense? He vacated the belt instead of fighting Charlo at 160 and now he's avoiding Benavidez at 168,even though he's in the top spot for the WBC championship fight? Its just a way to stall until another excuse or "franchise " type of thing happens. Both fighters should have already been in the ring with him, he can't risk it.Actually, I only saw the highlights! I didn't pay for that! Waiting on Spence vs. Crawford! I do understand Canelo telling Charlo and Beanvidez to fight each other first! That makes perfect sense! Now if he didn't fight the winner, I would have a serious problem with him after that!Comment

Actually, it looks to me like your a Cinnabon pompom waver. He vacated to avoid a mandatory and champion challenging for whose better and to you, its ok, so. The very definition of a meat holder.Ok so who did he face instead when he took that franchise tag? I’m sure there was better fights available but Al protected his guy’s from his own stable let alone other side of the street guy’s lol I bet it gets tough being a pbc groupie, go watch aktv n come back to argue with the big boysComment

He only wanted to unify with GGG, he's not interested in Janibek, and we know why he didn't want to unify with Andrade, which is understandable! Now that GGG is 40, and lost to Canelo again, I don't see what the attraction is? I wouldn't pay to see Charlo vs. GGG, but I would pay for Charlo vs. Benavidez!
Charlo wanted to unify at 160 before moving up. He would only move up for Cinnabon because he vacated his belt when Charlo was his mandatory at 160, and he never got to prove that he could beat him. He's already stated that he wants Benavidez at 168 after he either unify or Jermell moves up, then he goes to 168. Hopefully, he fights Janibek soon, then makes the move up.

Charlo vs. Benavidez makes perfect sense! They're both with PBC, and they're both looking for Canelo @ 168! Charlo has the chance to say to Canelo, "I beat the Boogeyman @ 168, now where you at?" He can make a statement! Beating Benavidez is better than beating GGG, especially now!
