Quartey was questionable as hell. The 12th round KD doesn't make up for the previous rounds he did **** but basically stare at Ike. That fight wasn't even hard to score.
If you're GENEROUS to DLH, he is ahead 3-2 after 5. Quartey clearly wins round 6 when both guys go down, because he controls the round after the 2 KDs. DLH loses the next 3 rounds, 7 through 9. Quartey didn't do that much, but surely did more than DLH, who did basically nothing. Oscar has to win the next 3 rounds to win the fight. Round 10 was close and I gave it to him, and you have to again be generous to give him the 11th. Even the commentators were saying "DLH has done little this round", and then he cornered Quartey and threw a combo, but none landed.
You have to be extremely generous to give DLH 6 rounds, that means winning 3 of the first 5, and giving him the 11th, which was dubious.
Yes, that is very questionable.
The Whitaker fight was very close and could've gone either way. I had it even. I had little problem with the decision, but 9-3 cards are out of line. But yes, a close fight that can go either way, is a questionable decision.
That's 3 questionable decisions that went his way, as opposed to 2 that went against him.
The Mosley rematch was another very close fight that wasn't easy to score, but somehow it's become described some outrageously bad decision, like it was the 2003 version of Escalera-Everett. Only 8 of the sportwriters polled at ringside had DLH ahead. It was a real close fight, I don't buy that Compubox crap.
The Trinidad fight, as I already described, was closer than people often say it was, but I had DLH ahead.
