168 is way to big for Floyd. He'd be slow and he'd get whomped.

lol this is a joke.. next you guys will be saying that floyd can beat a prime tyson or mohammed ali.. **** heads! floyd is a *****! only ******* fight once a year and dodge fights and then pretend to beat up on wrestlers! and you think he could beat calzaghe..an undisputed champ who has over 20 title defences and still undefeated!! floyd wishes he could defend his 5 times let alone 20, i bet these people saying this are 12 years old lol.. lol who would win out of batman v floyd mayweather? ****s!

Defense will take care of all of that.

He knocked jeff lacy down by wearing him down over the period of the fight.

Won't happen against Floyd. Either you land a big monsterous punch and get Floyd out of there or you can forget about beating him up for 12 rounds or wearing him out for TKO. Too good defensively and good enough offensively that it aint gonna happen.

Is there a fighter you would say have a chance against Floyd?

              Within reasonable weightclass of course.

Why have you bothered to discuss this scenario over 13 pages?
Clearly you had made up your mind that Floyd would beat Joe, so why even discuss it? To convince other people?

If a out of shape James Toney can be competitive witha natural heavyweight in Peter - a guy who gave the best HW Wlad Klitschko all he could handle 2 fights before that....then you can't say that Floyd has no chance in beating Joe at a 161/162 catchweight.

Unlike James Toney he still would be in excellent fighting shape even at that weight. Anybody with great boxing skills has a shot at beating Joe...old as no punches throwing Hopkins showed that. Lets be real here.

                Critics........start typing away.
no, joe is to long, and awkward for floyd at 68. 54 is the max i see floyd being effective at.

joe needs somebody who stand in front of him like Jeff Lacy did in order to be fast and accurate and hurt the other guy. Wouldn't work against Floyd. He didn't look too good against Kessler and he looked horrible against Hopkins.

If Floyd went on the bicycle Malinaggi/Cory Spinks-esque which he has done before, he would potshott his way to a UD victory. He would brush off any flurried Joe would try like he did against Manfredo and continue doing what he does.
I have nothing to say, you clearly owned me with the “not closing his fist” argument.

I wonder why the truth hadnt already appeared to me in form of one of the 600 shoulder rolls Floyd would be winning this fight with.

So you are telling me that Calzaghe's punches would have less effect than Corley's?

Looks good on paper dont it , when you realize he has only KOed 3 and stopped the rest by TKO or volume of hits landed and they were more resume building fights than big tests , kinda says to me Joes is a little closer to pitty patter than big puncher ,, his volume is his number one asset and with a good chin , add aggression and there is Joe , he is not that great a boxer but is great at what he does as a package , but he is no where near unbeatable and even though Bhop lost this fight he showed Joe up in a lot of ways , not as a bad fighter or anything , just cut some of the big raps of greatness down a peg or too , I reckon Joe is an elite fighter but not an ATG , many try to claim he is .
