Anybody who thinks that Margarito would beat Floyd shouldn't tell somebody else about boxing knowledge.
Do we need to get Rodney Jones back out of retirement to beat Margarito again to put you delusional Margarito fans back down to earth?Comment

Because it would be a career high payday and Joe is after the money right now.
Because he would be motivated to give the P4P best fighter in the world his first loss.
If Floyd offered Joe this fight at 162lb...........Joe would take it.Comment

Before his wrestling debut he weighed in at 159lbs. He only needs 2 more pounds to offically be a super-middleweight.
If a out of shape James Toney can be competitive witha natural heavyweight in Peter - a guy who gave the best HW Wlad Klitschko all he could handle 2 fights before that....then you can't say that Floyd has no chance in beating Joe at a 161/162 catchweight.
Unlike James Toney he still would be in excellent fighting shape even at that weight. Anybody with great boxing skills has a shot at beating Joe...old as no punches throwing Hopkins showed that. Lets be real here.
Critics........start typing away.
Are you suggesting a former super. featherweight (and mind, the greatest fighter to grace 130 IMO) is going to beat on skills a big lefty supermiddleweight who throws 100 (mostly looping) punches a round (call them slaps, whatever...)?
Interesting suggestion...
Consider how Mayweather was caught clean almost only by by lefties, and almost only with looping punches thrown by lefties.

EDIT: Not to mention that JC is a great fighter...Comment

No ****ing way. Calzaghe is likely already a multimillionaire and is looking at big paying fights against faded veterans like Roy Jones. No chance he's going to risk his unbeaten record and starve himself to be in a nothing to gain situation. Would it help Joe's reputation if he beat a blown up welterweight? Hell no. This is a no win situation for Calzaghe and I'm sure he would laugh at the proposition.Comment
