Did James Toney need power to keep all the heavyweights he defeated off him?

      It's all skill. Floyd's punching power hasn't been a factor since 140lb.

168 would be way too far for mayweather.

No but he needed a granite chin. Floyd's not god. He wont be able to roll and slip every significant punch.

I'm not saying that. Personally I think Pavlik could give him a good beating yet I think he can beat Calzaghe. Pavlike is just all brute strength and just too much for Floyd.

But Calzaghe, those slaps and that off balance style just wouldn't work. I wouldn't guarantee victory for Floyd but I could see him pulling off a 116-111 type decision with superior movement making it hard for Calzaghe to catch him clean and counter punching Joe all night.

Trust me, Calzaghe's punches will hurt and probably stop Floyd. Joe was hesitant to sit down on his punches against Hopkins after getting caught early.

One thing I can guarantee 100% is that Joe would never knock Floyd out.

Defense is too good and Joe isn't accurate enough with his fairy style.

Would never happen. Mayweather has proven his defense to be too good for a slapper to ever knock him out or hurt him.

I agree, Floyd would get KTFO @ that weight no doubt ... I wouldnt put him in at that weight against Joe, Pavlik or Taylor tbh.
