I'm gloating over nothing, I've never asked for, or wanted a poster to be banned.
.I'm simply pointing out the fact that two posters I had issues with are now banned,which implies the problems I had with them may not have been all my fault!

One of them is banned for life on ESB the other was banned there and may be now , I don't know. He made a thread with my user name as the title calling for the mods to ban me from this forum,getting no joy there,and having the thread closed by the mods he then made a thread in the Thunder Dome,again entitled with my User Name.That thread has now disappeared presumably because of all the obscenities and personal insults he made to me in it.
I was once banned here and never denied it ,it seems to hold some fascination for you because you repeat it in every post!

Your stance on McVey does not explain how,if he was only a"good fighter",he was able to beat great ones such as Wills,Jeannette, and Langford ,and also compete on level terms with them several times?

One of the big tells that can help identify a man who's never been in the ring, and possibly, never even had to put down a drunk pedestrian who got up in their face; is when a faceless poster starts talking as though there's only been about 50 to 100 fighters or less in history who you can literally call "Great".
I've seen many fights of many kinds under many rules or none at all; and I know that you have also.

The work that goes into just becoming a 20 win - 20 loss level fighter would scare off 99.9% of all the gym **** you'll ever meet.

The skill ability between a 20-20 fighter and a non-fighter who sees himself as a tough guy or a great athlete is measured in light years.

Numbers help.

Here is the 1915 report of the McVey v Wills fight.
"For heavyweights the men fought hard and fast throughout, McVey taking every round but the second. In the fourth a left jab cut Wills' right eye, which troubled him in the remaining rounds. Wills took a count of nine in the ninth round after receiving a left to the body and a left hook to the jaw." (Lincoln Daily Star)
