I have never given Canelo a pass. What I sad is that his explanation was believable, as it is in line with the fact that Mexico has a legitimate, known issue with clenbuterol in its cattle industry. And Canelo at least provided a list of 8 restaurants in Mexico he had visited in the weeks prior to his failed test, including the steakhouse Sonora Grill where he was seen having steak with Bill Clinton and Carlos Slim and several others.

This isn’t like the stuff surrounding Conor Benn which you laughably claim was just as plausible. Where there are excuses of contaminated eggs despite the fact that clomiphene use in egg production is prohibited in Britain. And to date no source has been provided where he might have possibly obtained these supposedly tainted eggs.

Two obviously very different levels of believability.

I don't know on one hand I want to say no but I don't think you can sugarcoat it really.
I felt he edged it and the robbery cries are very overblown but its embarrassing as **** for him, the division, the sport anyway you want to cut it even if he is clearly past it.

He won the NY golden gloves and has decent boxing for an MMA fighter & outboxed Ngannou in their first fight. I know people will say he mixed it up with wrestling and of course he did and he got KTFO in the rematch when he was old as dirt but I always felt he had some of the best boxing technique I've seen in MMA. In fact both guys was more boxers than MMA fighters.

Exactly right. For 30 years the best practice for MMA rules combat has been an even blend of Boxing, Muay Thai/Kickboxing, Freestyle/Greco-Roman Wrestling and Submission Grappling/BJJ. As time has moved on, the Boxing component is the peice that has gained shares.

The only reason you don't find more prime pure boxers heading into MMA is the same reason you don't see many medical students heading into the janitorial services trade.

As "Old as Dirt" as Stipe Miocic may be, he's the next guy getting a shot at the UFC title at UFC 295.....or was to be before Jones pulled out. MMA has had its day and that may be over except for the hardcore base. Welcome to the big leagues Francis!!!!!

You literally do give him a pass because of the nonsense you're spouting here by saying his explanation is "believable" when you have absolutely no reason to take that position.

As explained to you countless times;

The fact Mexico has a Clen issue, does not make Canelo's excuse plausible.

The fact he ate at restaurants in Mexico, does not make his excuse plausible.

You've again lied there and said "he was seen having a steak", no he wasn't seen having a steak. He is seen sitting at a table with no food on it. Where is your evidence that he ate any meat at all in any of these restaurants? You don't have any. And even if you did, that doesn't prove any of it was contaminated anyway.

None of the above has any bearing on his failed test.

Conor Benn situation is a carbon copy, he is blaming his failed test of tainted food. Both of them have zero evidence that that's the case. Yet you slate one and give the other a pass.

You have this hard stance on PED's, accusing Ngannou here with no evidence yet when Canelo fails a drug test, you deem it "plausible" that it was tainted meat because he was in Mexico and ate food there. It's embarrassing and you should stop.

Fury has had his PED issues in the past too. No denying that. But Ngannou being almost all muscle at 37-years-old and coming from the MMA world? He is suspect.

There appears to have been VADA testing for this fight, though.

You said Canelo was clean because he did Vada for Charlo despite the fact passing a VADA testing procedure does not mean you are not using PED's.

But yet here you are saying Ngannous is "assuredly" on PED's despite the fact he's just passed a VADA testing procedure.
