They were both fighting bigger opponents who could hit harder than them and they both needed to take the fight to the opponent in order to do what they did best. Bobbing and weaving in front of powerful punchers like Liston and Foreman, who could throw accurate uppercuts, is a recipe for disaster.

i remember in ali v frazier 3 you see frazier given the salts clearly in the last rounds. i once tried them years ago and boy do they bring you to your senses fast!
