He got a long count vs limond. Warren paid off kindelan to let khan win post Olympics.
When asked if he'd fight Naz he said he wouldn't fight one of his Muslim brothers. Basically saying its okay to hit any non Muslim.
Hatton got beat by two if the best boxers I've ever seen. Khans been beat from guys hatton wouldn't have.
I wasn't interested in a 4th fight between these two but after PAC's last 3 fights my interest in the Mayweather fight has wained. It won't be the spectacle it could have been.
A toss up between JMM, in Mexico, or another drab fight vs Bradley see's me voting for the JMM all day.
Realistically this will be JMM's last opportunity, he's 38 now, he'd need to wait another 9-12 months for a rematch (prob May 2013. By that time his body may not be able to keep up with the demand and PAC may have slowed down a bit.
PAC can then deal with the unfinished business with Bradley, if he's not lost the belt by then.
JMM in Mexico is tee'd up for a JMM victory though!
He should just retire as accept he'll never be an elite level boxer. He's always busy talking ****.
His career wouldn't have gor this far if Limond wasn't cheated to keep the cash cow alive.
Because Khan got UD's by an ATG then retired one fight late... oh, wait.
And no one has ever said Khan has a solid chin as far as I know, he's been getting hurt and dropped since his ITV days against Willie Limond and Michael Gomez...
Pedant alert, he was hit in the neck for the first knock down and hit on the top of the head IIRC.
Why do people talk about glass jaw?
I appreciate he's been downed in the past by hits to the face.
And were they wrong??
Came back to become a world champion did he not??
Remember the kid is only 25 years old!
The next big hope everyones talking about is Kell Brook, who is 26. What did he achieve by the age of 25? Yeah, **** all.
He has time on his side.
We'll see if he humbles himself down and corrects what he has to correct to be back at this level again.
Clearly he's come back better but all the warning signs were there early in his career. He's not got much room to come back a lot better. He's fighting at world level now where you're expected to fight top level opponents.
He'll need to take it down a level to come back to the top. Then just get smashed again.
He needed to be humbled down a few notches.
He's a great fighter but he's one of the least ring intelligent fighters i've ever seen. The way he fights is total opposite that to of his talents.
He was getting way too big headed with all the elite bs and needed to be humbled.
Write Khan off, they did after he was knocked out against Prescott.
But rememeber this, he'll be back. That is for sure.
People were saying the exact same after Prescott. It's what he needed, he'll be back better etc.
18.50 here in Scotland, uk, for the fight. Was gutted at paying that bit wanted to see this fight big time.
Wanted a Chisora win after Haye's toe BS against Wlad but give him respect again tonight. Lost all respect after Wlad.
Hope he fights Vitali and wins, purely because of a rematch with Wlad. Hate could potentially take all belts at HW if he grows some balls and actually fights.
Does anyone really care about this fight anymore?
The more I read about it and the more i know these guys are getting older the spectacle is diminishing.
I personally couldn't care that much now.
The chance to have one of the, if not the, biggest fight of all time (IMO) was gone 2/3 years ago. It would still be good but not what it should have been.
What bugs me the most about last saturday is how a challenger wins the title from the champ fighting like that. Seriously there really is something wrong with the sport when a challenger wins a championship fight throwing " keep away from me jabs "(which were not even landing), getting rocked a bunch of times and wins the title.
Title fights used to have that extra intensity and meaning because challengers are expected to take the title from the champ and not just win much less fight to survive.
:yeah:
Challengers are expected to drag the title from the Champ and not meekly get over the line.
I think he'll use it as a reason to put the fight to bed and that he doesn't need Pac to sustain his legacy. I think that will be right to an extent.
Pac of 3/4 years ago would have taken the current Bradley out the ring with ease IMO.
Pac may get a smaller offer from Mayweather now as the Bradley loss, albeit a joke, will give credence that Pac isn't the top fighter he was.
1st post here despite reading for a while. Hopefully not setting my stall out in either of the Pac/Mayweather camp as I've seen some of the comments going back and forward!
Anyway, I thought that Pac won the Marquez 3 fight by 1 round. Either that or a draw.
Pac should have won this latest fight but stepping off in the last few rounds cos him despite Bradley having no power whatsoever. I think he landed one decent shot in the whole fight and I think it was a body shot in round 3.
Hope to enjoy the fourm. :boxing:
I'm from the UK and voted for Khan to watch him get beat. Told him so on Twitter last night, as did many others, when he thanked us for voting for him. He seemed to be implying it was just a matter of time before the fight was announced.
So let me get this straight. you are totally and complety fine with mayweather spending tens of thousands of pounds, some of which came from you, on stiletto cakes for the prop girlfriend?
I just want to be clear on this point.
you don't feel a pang of regret at all as the beard breaks off the heel?

What is there to care about?
Do you scrutinise the owner of your corner shop for buying a super deluxe lawn mower and riding it around his garden like a cowboy after you bought a pack of gum?!
Does anyone really care about this fight now?
I'm sick of seeing floyd and PAC in the same sentence. Even of it happens in 2013 it means nothing. Or worse in 2014.
Fight should have been made 2/3 years ago. Both lost almost all the respect I had for them. Not that they'd give a **** about depriving boxing fans the biggest fight in recent history.
He should free himself of sign with GBP.
Floyd will have one final fight on his contract and that fight should be against Manny next May.
Makes sense for everyone.
We all know that won't happen though.
Amir Kahn is a household name in the UK, and has been since the Beijing Olympics. He is probably the most famous active British boxer. Only David Haye could dispute this.
Kell Brook is a relative unknown. He's not even a big name amongst casual fight fans in Britain.
100% agree with this. I fit into the casual fight category.
I've always wanted Khan to lose since the amateur rematch with Kindelan. Kindelan barely threw a punch from what I remember. There was a report his sister received a mystery payment of about £80,000 pound into her bank account.
My view was that Warren wanted him to win to set a platform before going pro to then milk him.
I had it 9-3 for TC. Burns looked like he didn't want to get hit. Before the fight I noticed her kept opening his jaw wide, I don't know if he's always done that before a fight but if was very noticeable.
As a Scotsman I wanted burns to win but he couldn't land anything. I really took to Crawford and will look out for him now. I liked his ring walk.
hello fellow english & brit boxing fans, im not from uk but actually from queens nyc
this is probably a stupid question but if someone could answer it
is boxnation a PPV thing? or is it a free channel, like a CBS or NBC? or is it subscription based channel, like hbo & showtime?
nd same question for sky sports?
Hi,
I paid £20 (£10 new member fee and £10 first month subscription) for the Mayweather Alvarez fight and pay £10 per month for the channel.
It's a rolling monthly contract so you can cancel when you like but I've kept it on and really enjoying it. Good value for money.
Non stop boxing, classic fights, interviews, documentries on fighters etc.
Glad to see the Pac fight on it.
I cancelled my boxnation in January as I was trying to cut costs but quickly realised it was my most watched channel.
I subscribed again four weeks ago and i'm delighted with the fights. I got 3 months for the price of 2 at £10 then it will move to £12.
Excellent value.
