in both of their last ww fights both came in on fight night at 150
so why do we act like manny is so damn small?
Ok, unwilling to defend Cotto's hypocrisy. Fine, I'll challenge Cotto fans on that one. But you don't seem to be willing to stand behind your words:
Did that article finally clear up your confusion:
There is no confusion. I think you are confused.
Pac vs Cotto II at 150 would have happened if Cotto agreed to the 150 CW. Pac vs Martinez at 150 would have happened if Pac agreed to his own demand of 150.
Again, Cotto at 150 but not Martinez. See see what I just did there?
I don't know why you keep avoiding that and start talking about Cotto. Outside of Cotto not agreeing to 150 there is nothing more that pertains to my point.
Like you said, you can hunt down all the Cotto fans and talk to them about why he didn't accept pac at 150. As far as I'm concerned what Cotto did to Pac is what Pac did to Martinez... So I don't know what you're really getting at. Either way I don't really care to be honest. My point still remains that vs Cotto it was going to be at 150 but not Martinez at 150.
Remember this is about pac being “too small” unless of course he is the one with the advantages i.e. Cotto at 150 but not Martinez at 150 or Hoya at 147 but not Cotto at 147. Let alone accepting to fight WW Champ Mosley from 142-147 or any WW Champion/Title holder/fighter that is actually winning at WW.....
Where did I get Martinez? Well Manny demanded to fight him at 150, the same weight that he was willing to fight Cotto at. Only difference is, if Cotto had agreed to 150 we would have had a rematch as appose to Pac declining to fight Martinez at 150, after demanding that it be at 150.
So my point again, Cotto at 150 but not Martinez. Like I said before, I am glad that neither happened but the point still remains that Pac is picking guys at the weights he has the advantages at and if he doesnt have an advantgae or the fight is too dangerous he doesnt take it, i,e, Mosley when WW Champ, Hoya at 147 but not Cotto at 147, Cotto at 150 but not Martinez. It's a trend and this "Pac is soooo small" talk is old.
As far as Cotto, I don't care what he does, my point is about Pac, as he is the topic of being claimed to be "too small" for everyone unless it favors him...

A. FALSE: Pac just demanded to fight Cotto at 150 but Cotto said no.

and LOL at you saying Cotto taunted him into offering...

Where did you get Martinez? I know, this whole thread is trying to whitewash Floyd ducking SM's callout.
But lets get back to your original post I responded to:
You read my link, now reconcile that with your statement. Did Cotto not goad Pac into offering 150, after Pac didn't wanna budge from 147? While you're at it explain how Cotto is not a raging hypocrite for saying this after Pac finally offered 150:

What does it have to do with Martinez "goading" Pac to 150? You are actually validating my point. How do people not see the irony of Cotto at 150 but not Martinez?
I don't even want to see Pac fight Martinez at 150 or 154. Martinez is too old to cut that kind of weight. I am clearly pointing out how Pac uses weight to his advantage i.e. Hoya at 147 but Cotto at 145, Margarito at 150 but not Martinez at 150 but THEN demands to fight Cotto at 150.
Do you not see how Pac agrees to one fighter AT 150 but not the other? Just like is said Hoya at 147 but not Cotto at 147?
However, I am off to the gym and will return in about 2 hours. Just think about it (Cotto YES to 150 but told Martinez no to 150) and like I said though, I am glad neither fight is happening.

Cotto told BoxingScene.com that Pacquiao's camp tried to gain an advantage by making him go down to 150-pounds. He says the weight demand was the main reason for the fight falling apart.
Did you finally read that link I posted with Cotto goading Pac into offering 150?

Could Floyd come in light though and beat Serg with his speed and quickness at 36. I think thats biting off more than he could chew. Id like to see it though.
Martinez vs Mayweather @160 >>>>>> Mayweather vs Pac
Martinez at 160 is the fight people should want if they really want to see Floyd beat or take a serious beating while pulling off his best win to date IMO.
Martinez is the real deal and there is a reason why Pac wanted Cotto at 150 but not Martinez (who's to his credit is shorter than both Magarito and De La Hoya).
You know the funny thing......Manny fans are the one's who made these pictures to prove these 2 were the same size and to prove Manny wasn't on PED'S..now they discredit the same pictures they made...
Did the midget (in Floyd parlance) not win titles in 3 division before ever hitting Floyd's starting pro weight? At the same age Floyd was fighting his last fight at 135. Pac stayed at 130 till he was 30. At that age Floyd was a full time welter.
So no, the timeline doesn't mean they're the same size, it means they are close enough that using that as the basis for PED accusations is stupid and/or arrogant. It's like a guy running 9.75s 100m accusing a guy running 9.65s of being a drug cheat, since nobody can do better than 9.75 clean.
Manny is small when it's time to fight a proper fighter like Martinez..but he ain't too small when it's time to fight a weight drained top rank victim :lol1:
This post right here is 100%.
Ive BEEN on this forum, that right there is absolute truth.
Ive been on this forum too and you know what else is absolute truth?
Floyd stans saying Manny had some unheard of rapid weight gain. So my question is as I asked before, where is this rapid weight gain if they're the same size?
that's joeman alt I think I wouldn't replying to the guy
Don't know who Joeman is but cool... cause he wont be around long anyway
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM and he is out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol
at 154 the fight is pointless, nothing to gain, and at 37 dropping weight is grounds for failure....i want it at 160 for history.....

That radioraheem guy swears that Floyd came in at 147 against Cotto (which I personally don't believe), which means he lost 4 or 5 pounds over night because he weighed in at 151-152.
So if he's coming in at 147 fighting a JMW do you really believe he's going to fight at 160? What do you expect him to come in at? At 154 it makes more sense because it'd be more equal towards both fighters.
And to people still crying about this ghetto version of OSDT nonsense, Manny has been willing to take it for Floyd for over a year now, even though it's not required and even though Manny feels weakened with blood loss that close to a fight.

Edit: Apparently I watched wrong during the fight. It wasn't the unofficial scale.. as far as I know.
Okay so if they're the same size, why do people point at Pac's "growth" and use that as scapegoat to accuse him?
But ironically the entire thread was already exposed last night, when we just found out you were trying to defend Floyd from Martinez yet again.
That's been answered... people don't say the same thing about Floyd because he gets OST for his fights... Manny refused it, don't give me this now stuff, because when the contract was on the table with that in it Manny said no no I can't do that. That's how the suspicions started.
:nonono: :nonono:
why fight the lineal mw champ at 154???pointless..if you gone do it go fir the gusto...............i have confident in Floyds skill set i'm a real fan of the sport...now if you have HBO enjoy the fights..Darcynian is putting in work
