AUDLEY HARRISON will pay another visit to his *local tonight – the last chance saloon.
The 40-year-old has been there *before but insists that if he loses against Ali Adams this time he *really will call time on his career.
Harrison still dreams of bidding for a world heavyweight title and said: “If I can’t beat Adams, I just don’t deserve to be in boxing.”

i can imagine it being true on account of hatton probably sinking a ton of money into his promotional activities and then getting the short one from sky.
easy way to make a few quid. his twitter pics show him looking a bit trimmer.
vs malignaggi in manchester OR new york would sell out.
but sky sports news havent written anything so right now, ringnews24 looking a bit spurious
People won't remember this but on here I heard about Peterson failing a drugs test a few hours before it came about...... The same source tells me this is true.
Malinaggi v Hatton.... WOW
it'll do a ton of business if its true. but the lead article which appears to be ringnews24 is saying hatton told sky sports news yet they are saying nothing about it. whats that all about?
Not very high, historically. its a moot argument because he hasnt spent much of his career at WW.
oscar, clottey, mosley, marquez III. 2 of those were way way way past best. 1 was b grade and 1 actually beat him. hardly impressive.
on an all time welter list - he doesnt make top 10, maybe even top 25.
on an all time list...he does better because he has better wins at lower weights.
but all-time is ferocious competition....fighting twice a year is piss poor when you consider some of the names of previous era's who fought each other several times in their careers and chalked up 100+ career fights. i think our standards of greatness has dropped because we have a limited frame of direct reference
JC has a lot to say for a man that cant get in the ring and back his words up. He had the chance to fight Carl a long time ago but chose instead to fight a version of Roy Jones that was laughable.
He has been saying he 'would have' beaten Ward and now he is sticking his oar in on Carl's moment in the sun.
If it were me I'd rather be known as a world class fighter that never shirked a tough fight and was always willing to travel.
Being known as a 46-0 fighter who took a series of soft defences and never left his own country until the very end of his career when he knew he had to in order to gain any sort of credibility is nothing to shout about. where was he when Jones and Hopkins were in their primes?
nope...records dont mean crap to me. froch's resume > calzaghes all day long.

am sure FTM's creditors are thrilled to know that Malonely claims that he has £650k for Fury to fight.
Maloney will no doubt switch over to his new promotions name. Frank Maloney promotions that was created in may this year.
Little corrupt elf
i think he already has. FMP now used on advertising, website etc. though he isnt a director in said company of course. but obviously he is empowered to make financial offers on its behalf. wonder what his job title is?
chief scrotal officer!
CARL FROCH will not risk his chance to become a boxing legend by under-estimating his next opponent.
Froch defends his IBF world super-middleweight title against Yusaf Mack in front of his hometown fans in Nottingham on November 17, insisting: “I am treating him as a major threat.”
He is a firm favourite to retain his title but Froch said: “If I come unstuck in this one, everything I have achieved in the last few years will go to waste.

carl is a genuine credit to the sport and an inspiration to kids coming through. hope he stays active in boxing when gloves are hung up. maybe take over from mccracken
Khan is becoming the biggest cun7 in boxing. now he is having trouble making weight. said the same sh1t after prescott mauled him. honestly. anyone that has any respect left for him is mugging themselves. GBP have clearly told him to steer clear of peterson/garcia/matthysse after the diaz performance. alexander seems to be the softest touch at 147. assuming broner beats malignaggi.
Dumb sunt always looking past his next fight. Needs to avenge Garcia/Peterson and fight a legit welter before he even deserves to lace mayweathers boots. Hope he gets ktfo well before that.
Khan speaking the truth as usual and no one likes it :nonono:
Peterson has never been known for being able to take a good shot. Tim Bradley hurt him ffs! Yet he looked like he could walk through bullets that night.
The star is a ****ing rag. As bad as the sun. They were testosterone pellets not steroid pellets. That's just bad journalism. khan is getting maximum mileage out of this and.he rarely needs an excuse to flap his gums. he punches in light flurries and doesn't sit down on his shots and the fight I was watching had him in in his bike for.most of it. If Lamont took this stuff to gain advantage then he deserves a ban.facts need to be established and Khan needs to shut the **** up in the meantime. tells you something when he is unpopular even if Lamont cheated against him. Being classy would be being quiet while Lamont states his case.
AUDLEY Harrison will have one last throw of the dice – in the competition which saved him from the boxing scrapheap.
The 41-year-old Londoner will line-up in the ‘Prizefighter International Heavyweights III’ event at York Hall in Bethnal Green on February 23.
Harrison won Prizefighter in October 2009 and credits that victory with putting him on the path to a world title tilt when his career had looked to be in ruins. Click Here To Read More]
its a waste of a slot for an up and coming fighter or even just a journeyman professional who will ACTUALLY turn up and try! what gets me is that since he tends to fall over when the first punch lands - he clearly hasnt taken that much punishment over his career so its hard to understand why his brain is so scrambled!
WBC silver junior welterweight champion Amir Khan admits he may extend his career beyond the age of 28 and for the moment has no interest in stepping up to welterweight to face Sheffield rival Kell Brook.
In 2011, Khan was heavily considering the possibility of going to the welterweight division in 2012 - but then he suffered a controversial decision loss to Lamont Peterson in December 2011 and was knocked out by Danny Garcia in four rounds in July. He returned earlier this month to stop Carlos Molina.

2nd separate piece today from the same source piece in a junk tabloid.
Perhaps we can get Edward chaykovsky to write a piece quoting this one like he did with Warrens.
funny tho how Khan no longer wants any part of welterweight when he was pishing his knickers to get up there and fight Mayweather 18 months ago.
Brook shatters his China chin and he realises it.
Bet he thought he would be on 10 mil a fight by 28.
Sorry mate...that's for REAL superstars only.
Why is it funny? 18 months ago he was unified champion and Bradley had just ducked him. More or less nothing else to do at 140 so the logical step would be the money fight.
its funny because he changes his tune faster than a hooker playing the flute with her f@nny!
bradly didnt duck him you t!t ...he passed on a decent pay day to get in line for a megabucks payday. you havent got a clue what was going on in the background. more than likely he was already talking to Arum about Pacquiao . why do you think he was so intent on getting shut of Shaw. Peterson gave Khan nightmares on the inside, Bradley made schooled Peterson.
Do the math sweetcakes!
Geez, what a great idea......take that stellar chin of his up to Welterweight. Makes about as much sense as drinking battery acid.
he is so dumb and keen to prove his b@lls that he would not only drink it but he would put an olive and a little umbrella in the glass first.
its that makhdoom girl i feel most sorry for...not only is she betrothed to a total idiot but he cant keep his pork sword in its sheath at the best of times it seems.
i give that marriage 2 years tops. a bit like his shelf life as a self proclaimed 'superstar' of boxing.
move along..nothing to see here...far more interesting things going on at 140 and 147.
----------------------this next bit is for TensionKiller ...if his mum is letting him use the computer tonight -------------------
oh and I had absolutely nothing to do with the families of the kids shot at Sandy Hook School, CT but I was genuinely distraught about the incident.
Can I get a Sun or Daily Star reporter to come interview me?
oh no wait...i dont got Richard Schaefers loins between my buttocks and i actually have a chin made of something other than porcelain!!
Same sh17 different article
'still' a superstar? More popular that ever?
No one can doubt that he is entertaining in the ring, especially when he is getting nailed, but out of it....easily the most odious self obsessed individual in the sport. Makes Floyd look like a humble guy.
Now.....I wonder.....
fuk this im tired of him, a bully in and out of the ring and yet there are plenty of guys who whooped his ass, on both sides of the rope lol
takes a special kind of $cumbag to make a comment like that AND put an LOL at the end. i feel sorry for you. you obviously have as much anger as Mike in you but clearly aren't big enough to admit it yet.
Don't really get how you can hate Khan, it's obvious he wants to fight the best out there. The fight with Bradley didn't come off because Bradley was having issues with his promoter or whatever, so Khan goes after Guerrero or Judah. He gets the next best fight at 140 against Judah, still a unification fight.
Regarding whether it's a result of Khan's "boasting" being the reason he gets alot of detractors, I've never viewed it like that. Watching him in interviews, it seems he gets a bit over-excited with what he could potentially achieve in boxing. It dosen't seem like arrogance, it seems like a kid excited about fighting this and that guy, and hoping to beat them.
The fight is genuinely a sit on the fence fight for me. Judah does have a tricky style, and the ability to knock Khan out. However I'm going for Khan by TKO around the 10th.
if u dont think he arrogant......
1)check out his driving conviction history when he was newly pro - kid bought fast cars and drove around like mario andretti believing he was allowed to do what he liked
2) check out how some of his 'team' (a.k.a. hangers on ) give it the big I am ....direct quote from a twitter profile 'lifestyle flasshhhhyyyy' ....yeah...real modest kid.
i am english and i have to say(again) khan is a looooooooooong way off from being anywhere near the top ten fighters in the world.
his dellusions of beating fmj or anybody in the "real elite" class are an absolute joke to put it mildly.
all i have seen since joining the over rated freddie roach is the ability to be patient but, still shows a massive amount of ameteur skill about his work.
the only other thing i have seen since the change in basecamp is his weight gain thanks to mr alex "up my sleeve" ariza.
he had a close shave against maidana and fair play to freddie roach for saying afterwards that he was about to pull him out of the fight because he was finished.
zab judah is far far quicker than maidana and has vicous ko power in either hand.
zab judah will go for him straight away i think and catch him early for an easy nights work.
FOR YOUR INFO:::TWO FIGHTERS KHAN NEEDS TO GET PAST HERE IN ENGLAND FIRST BEFORE GAINING EVEN OUR ACKNOLEDGEMENT OF HIS TALENT ARE AS FOLLOWS.....KEVIN MITCHELL AND KELL BROOK.
either of these fighters would ko khan with considerable ease.
lets not forget any time soon that khan was blasted out in 54 seconds and kevin mitchell battered him after that easily.
kell brook on the other hand is a reincarnation of naseem hamed.
maidana is the only name on khans card with any credibilty at all.
whilst i see judah winning by ko, i remain convinced that even id khan wins he will be held in no higher regard as judah has been beaten by sparring partners and journeymen so it will not project him to superstar status.
its really stupid that even the british press hail this cunt as some kind of "superstar".....hes a cunt.
the gospel!
will u marry me!
really dont see what all the fuss is about with the t-shirt. it's only coz eastern europeans have no sense of humour!
for the final presser Haye should wear a t-shirt of Wlad kneeling down in front of Vitali (and by kneeling down i mean 'kneeling down')
the t-shirt slogan can read 'brotherly love'
khan will lose the majority of the british public if he carries on the way he is going. hatton was a success because he was humble. khans team are arrogant and it rubs off on him.
when noone in the UK gives a toss about him he and oscar won't be able to trade off his 'britishness'.
sadly lewis was the same...he was jamaican until it came to fightcamp and then all of a sudden he was london born again.
being british sells tickets and ppvs. right now I'd say that mccloskey is more popular with true fight fans in britain than khan.
love posts like this.
lewis ...what was he ...37 odd? at the end of his career. late notice switched opponent. sure, vitali was busy. might well have nicked a few close rounds. but where was the illegal blow that ripped his eyelid apart AND his cheek?
the dude is a bleeder. he was even starting to look red around the eye against solis and that was just 3 minutes.
lewis stopped him.....STOPPED...its a blood sport...you try to stop ur opponent continuing. its like saying that williams was ahead on points when martinez put his lights out!! it dont count for sh1t!
now haye is the young gun and not only is he gonna score the points round by round but he is also gonna give the klit-sisters a couple of pizza faces.
neither wlad nor vitali will be able to adapt to haye's aggression. eastern european fighters CANT adapt. its cultural. they learn to box by numbers. like machines.
u show me an adaptable and slick eastern european fighter and i'll show u an american or british airforce baseman stationed there.
the only advice haye needs is 'punch them in their fcking faces'. one will bleed and the other will fall down.
matthew should fight the german guy senencho,Not the berto-ortiz winner.
absolutely spot on. or zaveck
hatton is a good match up for these two. i think berto has too much for him. senchenko wants to hide in europe. zaveck wants to break america...a hatton fight is a good door opener except i think hatton possibly nicks it on a narrow UD
hatton has bags of heart and deserves something for basically playing canelo and oscars whipping boy.
frank warren could do a canny bit of business offering him a fight against kell brook for #1 @ wbo
kell beats hatton handily.
Did the writer said the Khan stoppage by Prescott was controversial?? WTF
no...he said the mccloskey stopage was controversial.
he said prescott shocked the world by stopping khan.
why dont u go reread it?
What a sniveling weak little Turd.
no...that would be YOU ...and every other rancid, d1ckless little hater on here. anyone that disses a genuine, honest fighter that gave his all in the ring and has finally faced up to his issues and is putting his life back together deserves no respect whatsoever. Ricky is 10x the man you will ever be. I hope u never fall on hard times coz you dont have what it takes to come back from it.
fact.
pr1ck!
If Khan wants Prescott he should fit 4 fights in this year and get Prescott out of the way in February then Judah in April then a test at Welterweight in July/August and then Bradley/Alexander in November or December.
That's never happening though. I don't even think Khan will fight 3 times this year as Schaefer suggests.
At least Frank Warren had Khan fighting every couple of months. He fought 5 times in 2008.
firstly he was fighting 5 times a year when they were NOT 12 round fights and not against world class opponents.......no way he can be ready to go again in 10 weeks...give the guy a break FFS.
he can fight in march and then in july but after that he has Ramadan and so he has to wait until nov/dec. march will be a stay busy fight against someone he can own in front of UK fans....prescott, judah..someone like that...July will be for the 140 crown ....december will be a marquis fight at welter...
