Lmao dude are you kidding me?? James Toney knocking back a fight with a Brit? That just would NEVER happen, Calzaghes legacy isn't better than B-hops, Roys or James Toneys! He should of went over to America but that's right he's apparently scared of flying. this is true. It must hurt Calzaghe that if Jones, Toney, Hopkins, Steiglitz and Froch had fought stiffs like Joe did for ten years, they'd all have 50-0 unbeaten records. But where is the challenge in that? No one wants to take a **** route like Joe Calzaghe does. It would be a boring SMW division too, with all the good fighters having 50-0 unbeaten records but never fighting anyone of note.

Froch did make that "strange" remark in regards to him being the top fighter if he were to beat Ward. Because Floyd doesn't have too many fights in him? Even if he were to retire before him? He would have flown for a big fight which he did in his last two fights. Otherwise, why travel if you make good money at home? Pretty much the same thing that Froch is realising right now. but Cal didn't make the really big money fighting domestics. that's why he travelled at the end instead of facing a queue of dangerous legit opponents who would have given him a lot of trouble at age 36. He wanted to retire whilst still post prime rich AND stay undefeated. Facing the now faded old legends satisfied both needs. chicken and egg theory surely? Insane, you seem a bit odd. Prime RJJ isn't going to be ducking a slap artist like Calzaghe. Joe wouldn't be able to lay a glove on him in his prime. Its the other way round IF anything, Joe Cal didn't chase Jones when he was good (and he could have despite jones moving up to LHW).

This is just as big a heap of sh1t as the people that say Calzaghe hid from Jones. They just didn't cross paths because they were in different divisions. Calzaghe was never Jones' mandatory. Joe became mandatory for Steve Collins' WBO Super Middleweight belt. Collins retired and Joe won the belt from Eubank. Roy Jones was already at Light Heavyweight in 1997.
