WBC silver junior welterweight champion Amir Khan admits he may extend his career beyond the age of 28 and for the moment has no interest in stepping up to welterweight to face Sheffield rival Kell Brook.
In 2011, Khan was heavily considering the possibility of going to the welterweight division in 2012 - but then he suffered a controversial decision loss to Lamont Peterson in December 2011 and was knocked out by Danny Garcia in four rounds in July. He returned earlier this month to stop Carlos Molina.

He could fight at 147 but just be very careful with who he fights. He can fight Malignaggi, Carson Jones, Jessie Vargas to start off. Then Timothy Bradley for a big fight. I don't think any of those guys can seriously hurt Khan. Carson Jones is the most powerful guy there but his limitations offset his power.
So afraid that he went and fought pacquiao instead?? Not only did he fight him but won the fight regardless of how anybody feels he won. It made since to wait it out and fight pacquiao. He would beat khan anyway so...
He specifically said: "What if I lose?"
You can lose to Pacman and come back, because you're expected to.
He took the safety route. If Khan had done the same you would have said he was ready to play Daffy in the next looney tunes.
Since when is "ducking" waiting for a way bigger and better fight? GTFO with that nonsense.
Hahahahaha. Bradley came out and said it was too risky for $1.3m - how is that waiting for a better fight? He had the chance to unify the division he'd been trading in for years. He didn't do it = straight up duck. As quaky as they come.
So afraid that he went and fought pacquiao instead??Absolutely. Money makes fighters more brave. It is easier to take a loss against a top 3 PFP than Khan. And Bradley did lose as seen by his lack of ability to secure a fight. Bradley's 15 minutes of fame were up the minute he left the ring after Pac beat him.
He doesn't have the power to carry to 147, he should stay at 140 for as long as he can comfortably make it. I think him staying at 140 is Hunter's influence, and its the right move.
Before his last fight, we didn't know anything about him. After his last win against a nobody from lightweight, now we are listening every crap he does in his life. Can the media get that he is a hypejob? He's a half boxer; great offensive skills, exactly the opposite defensively, and his chin doesn't do any favors to him. He's just a good boxer with speed. How many I've seen like that and they just disappear within one or two more losses...
Geez, what a great idea......take that stellar chin of his up to Welterweight. Makes about as much sense as drinking battery acid.
he is so dumb and keen to prove his b@lls that he would not only drink it but he would put an olive and a little umbrella in the glass first.
its that makhdoom girl i feel most sorry for...not only is she betrothed to a total idiot but he cant keep his pork sword in its sheath at the best of times it seems.
i give that marriage 2 years tops. a bit like his shelf life as a self proclaimed 'superstar' of boxing.
move along..nothing to see here...far more interesting things going on at 140 and 147.

oh and I had absolutely nothing to do with the families of the kids shot at Sandy Hook School, CT but I was genuinely distraught about the incident.
Can I get a Sun or Daily Star reporter to come interview me?
oh no wait...i dont got Richard Schaefers loins between my buttocks and i actually have a chin made of something other than porcelain!!
Why is it funny? 18 months ago he was unified champion and Bradley had just ducked him. More or less nothing else to do at 140 so the logical step would be the money fight.
its funny because he changes his tune faster than a hooker playing the flute with her f@nny!
bradly didnt duck him you t!t ...he passed on a decent pay day to get in line for a megabucks payday. you havent got a clue what was going on in the background. more than likely he was already talking to Arum about Pacquiao . why do you think he was so intent on getting shut of Shaw. Peterson gave Khan nightmares on the inside, Bradley made schooled Peterson.
Do the math sweetcakes!

Feather fisted Paulie Malignaggi,36 yr old Zab Judah and a close call with Maidana where he nearly got knocked out and escaped by the skin of his teeth and Khan thinks hes done it all at Jr WW.Those guys were far from the best in the division,Jr WW was stacked 18 months ago and still is.
I can name 10 guys off the top of my head who would knock Amir Khan out at Jr WW.......
What made you think that. The fact he was starched at 135. Or that he was out on his feet against Maidana and looked like he was going to get knocked out by Peterson. Or maybe it was the fact he got KTFO against Garcia.
You good sir, are correct!!
Smart move Khan. I always knew welterweights would hurt can considerably. Give Virgil some time to work on the defense before moving anywhere near welterweight type power. Hell Paulie might hurt him at 147.
