I think its unlikely that Pacquiao would win, but I don't think you can say it couldn't happen. If Quintana could do it, I don't see why Pacquiao couldn't put on a great performance and find a way to win. The old adage goes that it takes a great little man to beat a good big man. Pac is great, Paul is good...Pacquaio has a chance despite PW's freakish proportions.

I think that if Pacquiao ever fought WIlliams and the fight was made at 147lbs. You have mentioned that Williams could drain down to 147lbs. This means that if Pacquiao was to beat WIlliams, he wouldnt get the crdit he deserved. People would say that Pacquiao has beaten a 'drained' Williams. In my opinion, Pacquiao would get full crdit in beating Williams if the fight was made at 154lbs.

Do you think that Williams will have a 147 lbs fight again in the near future? Nobody wanted to fight him down there and maybe his body won't tolerate that drain anymore. Do you think he will stay for a while in 154 or go up to 160?
IMO Williams has out grown 147lbs by now if he insist of fighting at WW it will only harm him instead.

Williams would drain himself to make the weight, he is 6 foot 2 with big shoulders he should be up at light middle at the very least! pacman would stop a weight weak williams in about 10 rounds. The thing with paul williams is he completely negates his advantage which is his height & reach by fighting small & on the inside. I saw his fight vs a faded sharmba mitchell at welterweight & sharmba mitchell who is roughly the same height as pacquiao was landing clean shots vs pwill.
what will this prime welter version of pac do? add the fact that pwill is just as offensive if not more offensive that pacquiao & is so vulnerable to counter punches which sergio martinez took advantage of, i can see pacquiao beating a paul williams.
The clottey fight will tell us somewhat how pacquiao will deal with a truly big fighter. Clottey will without a doubt rehydrate to 160 as he regularly does during fight night vs pac who never weighs more than 150.
